I thought that a wire is how frames used to be hung all the time. Is this a common problem with heavy frames?
I don’t have any OA art or the like, but I do know integrity of the piece holding it is extremely important. My parents had a few of my art school projects framed and I cringed a bit that the matting is straight instead of beveled πŸ˜‚. If they have treated you right in the past; I’d at least let them reframe it. Worst case I’d ask for a refund and look at other options; maybe museum quality. Idk a 2k piece is more than anything I own. Good luck!

I really wanted Dave Stevens signed version of this book, but I really don’t want a restored or qualified book from the 80s if I send this in to the authenticated and encapsulated what should I be expecting?
I checked on eBay for listings and sold and could not find this version graded and encapsulated without the glasses included.

if the 3d glasses were bound with the book and removed; it should affect the grade. If they are included with book but not bound then it would not affect the grade since they cannot include them with book in the slab as with any loose items including trading cards, 3d glasses, mini comic inserts, COAs, etc.

That was a pretty good deal, but not earth shattering. A 4.0 signed by Wrightson sold during the covid craze for $193. Given an adjustment for sanity, that's only about $20 off the mark.

An unsigned 5.5 just sold for $115. And an unsigned 3.5 for $80.

Auctions are always risky. Something like that should have been listed as a BIN.

To answer your question, no, this is not where the comics go to die. MutantMania private msg quote post Address this user
Just curious how much of a hit the grade would get from this. Other than the missing piece the book is super clean and has the Tattooz. Is it worth to get it graded or sell it as is?

Does CBCS have a phone # for billing? I can't find any #'s at all. Is all communication done by email?
I need to see if I got refunded for a book not being slabbed due to VSP failure.

What is the best way to submit books? I.E. should I get gemini holders? Should I ship as media mail? etc... (I'm looking for steps basically)

I was going to roll the dice on my WWBN 32 2hichnis a cgc 8.0. Upon further inspection, there are .ore color breaking spine ticks than believed there to be. I know if I send it to cbcs, they're going to drop it a grade because that's probably the correct grade, but I don't want it in the cgc holder. What
to do?

I'd like to say I still turned out alright, but that would be a lie. flanders private msg quote post Address this user
@ComicNinja0215 I'm confused. You want to buy a raw wwbn #32 that has the potential to be an 8.0? Buy a CBCS 8.0 and save yourself the trouble.

@flanders i have a wwbn 32 8.0, it's on a cgc holder. I wanted to send it here but I'm afraid it will drop a grade. I could sell it and grab a different copy but I want to keep it. I also don't want it in the cgc holder . Lol

Oh, the only books I've sent into cbcs in a cgc holder were to get rid of a green qualified label. I don't think I'd chance it on a blue label unless I saw a bunch of pressable defects and expected a grade bump. Unless the holder is going to damage the book, leave it as is.

@flanders yeah, I don't think it's worth the risk. It looks nice but many spine ticks would drop this by at least a point.

I have other cgc books I can cross over.

Find and buy a WBN 32 8.0 in a CBCS holder then sell your copy graded by the cgc. I did that with my X-Men 166. Or buy a raw copy and submit it to CBCS.

Find an early graded PGX copy and sub it to CBCS.

This might be the dumbest question I've thought of lately..Due to water damage a signature is no longer visable on a signed basketball I own. Is there any way remnants of the signature exist and could be detected with a black light or something similar? That way I could poorly trace over it and just live with the fact that it's no longer authentic.

If not I'll just have to say it's signed by Kobe Bryant's ghost.

@ComicNinja0215 it looks like an 8.0 to me. Spine ticks always stick out more than subtle tears or minor stains. There are always some lower grade books that might present better even though they have more defects. You can always sell your copy and buy something in either the same or lower grade that might have more eye appeal.

@flanders, yeah, i think this is one book that will stay in a cgc case. I'd like to send it here but this is a keeper. Almost all of my cgc books will be in cbcs cases Just not this one. I might unload it of o know I can get a good price for it. πŸ‘
