 So I spent the $10.00 on the Beckett Authentication Service. It came back Likely to pass Full Authentication. I was going to send it in to CBCS for the authentication. My question is in the the email it says the Next Steps.   I have never dealt with Beckett before. Am I supposed to send the book into CBCS with the Beckett printed Signature Review Results for full authentication. I don’t on this issue because it is Avengers #4, but if it was a less expensive comic. Is Beckett saying I could ask for a COA or Letter of opinion. With out going through CBCS. Just trying to understand for the future! |

| If you're wanting it graded, just send everything into CBCS as if it were a regular VSP submission. If you're not wanting it graded, it seems to me that you can pay extra and send it in for a full review and get a COA or a Letter of Opinion. Your choice. |

| So I own a building in tbe middle of nowhere and a delivery truck driver backs into the building causing about 5k of damages. I talk to the owner of the company and he says email him tbe quote. I do and now he says the damage wasn't done by his driver. I tell him that the police report and cameras disagree with him. (Police looked at footage, they weren't at the site when it happened). How long should I give the guy before I get lawyers involved? It's only been like 2 days since I got involved but over a month since it actually happened. Edit My tenant originally was dealing with the guy but apparently it didn't go anywhere. |

| It's far too early to get a lawyer involved. The statute of limitations for property damage in Florida is 4 years. You can get your own insurance company involved and they can do a carrier search to find out which company insures the delivery driver. You can then submit your footage and evidence directly to the insurance company instead of dealing with the company's owner. I'd send the owner a simple letter explaining that if he doesn't pay out based on the estimate that you'll go through his insurance company instead. You should also ask them to provide proof of insurance. I wouldn't bother asking him to provide another estimate if he doesn't agree with the charges, because it's already past that point. He's now turned into a jackass that is denying everything and there's no need to allow him to waste any more of your time. I'm not sure what other resources you could use to determine the company's insurance carrier if you don't have insurance on the building. There may be something on the Florida Department of Insurance website that may help or maybe an insurer that you have for your vehicle or any other property may be of help. It's a very simple process for your insurer to get that information for you. Edit: If the owner has insurance use it. Costs could always go up during the repair process and insurance will cover that if they're reasonable. |

| @Bronte You can consult with your attorney, generally waiting doesn't help. It's a simple insurance claim on the guilty parties end. All they pay is a higher premium on their next policy period. Same as an auto accident claim. I would call my attorney and take his advice. Maybe have your attorney send them a certified letter with your intentions to pursue litigation to get their attention??? |

| I have an attorney from when I was sued by an ADA tester, but I don't have one on retainer. I'm thinking if this guy forces me to get an attorney, I'll sue him to pay for the attorney fees. I haven't seen the footage but the camera is literally right next to the impact point of the truck. I told the tenant to keep footage because the company might be an ass and we might need to show it in court. He said ok. By the way, if you own your own business make sure your ada compliant. Testers are assholes suing everyone and their brothers. The amount of people being sued has apparently skyrocketed in my area. | ||
