| @Davethebrave Hate to see you leave Dave. You have shared valuable insights in the past. Don't leave because you got a verbal hand smack. Your a big boy. Buck up.... Most have known you are partial to cgc, for monetary reasons. But I say as a collector and a seller, to each his own. I have had my share of dislikes for both companies. And I understand people buy and or collect for different reasons. The other day I was visiting with Borock, and I told him, unlike many other collectors, I don't look for a certain book, I look for a certain grade or condition of a book, seeking the best examples when and where they present themselves. Online, yard sale, thrift store or wherever comics show up, I want the best version of that item. Similarly, I want the best version in protection of said comics. And that is hands down CBCS. If people could see this product (holders/slabs) from this perspective, many more people would be using CBCS as well. But instead, many view the company for preference and not the product. But if you do decide to vamp, peace be to you and blessings in your endeavors. |

| Whenever posting in here....I post like I'm at a pub with friends or colleagues...obviously the downside of an online forum is that it's completely text based. I text like I talk and intonation, body language doesn't come through. Some people are sensitive to the text and take them exactly at face value....again, a limitation of an online forum and not giving the benefit of the doubt to the poster or digging further to the poster to find out more. | ||

| @Nearmint67 I started the CGC damaging books thread on here. Was very vocal on the CGC site too. Odd if I were trying to protect an interest… My personal stake in the current value of CGC books is minimal since I never sell. In fact I have never sold a comic… have at most traded (and never to my financial benefit). For those who have dealt with me financially here, I think I have on multiple occasions paid -more- than I owed or agreed. Take that however you’d like. My stake in future value is minimal too, any book can be reslabbed or removed. My interest has been to discuss things openly and objectively. Once the interest is overridden by irritation, it makes no sense to continue participating. As mentioned above, I could simply stop posting but it is cleaner to remove my account. In any event, it has been fun. Good luck to everyone! |
