For the ones that have them.... Whats a great Red Dot for an AR-15?
I'm kinda leaning towards a Sig Sauer Romeo5.
Anyone have that model or brand or can suggest a good one?

So would you spend some time with the most experienced comic book grader in the biz?
I spent some time at the hippies house today.
Dropped off another box of books to be listed in the upcoming March 14th comiclink auction.
Got some additional grading tips and enjoyed the view.
@sborock_ComicLink Thanks for all you help.
Hippies-R-Us... lol...

@DrWatson Of course you have. You are an exception to several rules.
It's also on my been there done that list. Gotta find something else to add to it.

Have you ever stood on or in the Mississippi River with a dozen other people and mooned a river barge?
Yeah we weren't quite right back then... But we had a lot of fun...

No, but I once put a dead skunk in someone's mailbox. I think that, technically, was a federal crime.

I also painted red and white polka dots on this guy's concrete black bear lawn ornament.

I was also hit on by a boy scout troop leader one time while showing houses. I know. I know. Cliché, right?

Has anyone heard where West Stephen may be working now-a-days?
When you grade comics for a living for 25 years, it's kinda hard to start a new career.

With Captain Restoration going over to PSA, Stephen must be looking for a new gig too...
He has already "been there, done that" with the cgc & cbcs. Where - O - Where could he be????
Enquiring minds want to know...
West worked with the Borock for a quarter century. So he knows what he is (was) doing....
Could there be a new player on the horizon?????????

Guts(Berserk) and Ash(Evil Dead) are the same character. The big difference? Personality, One is a moody/angry warrior and the other peak in high school and works at S Mart.
Agree or no?

@Bronte I believe the original kickstarter trilogy weighed around that much, so that's probably what it is.

Can anyone provide for me please the FMV of Iron man 44 in 9.2-9.6 certified grade?
And a Daredevil 131 in 9.6-9.8

I've got two copies I'm thinking of submitting and just want to know what value to put on them with a submission that I think will be in that range. Thanks.

According to Go Collect, there have been no sales of graded copies of Iron Man #44 in those grades in over a year. The last 9.6 sale was for $1,680 on 02/06/2023 (Heritage Auction). The last 9.4 sale was for $264 on 09/12/2022, and was also a Heritage Auction. And the last 9.2 sale was for $82 on 11/03/2022 in a ComicConnect Auction.

There’s a lot more information on Go Collect regarding DD #131. They list the 9.6 FMV as $925, 1 year avg. is $862, the 90 day avg. is $991, and the 30 day avg. is $933. In 9.8 the FMV is listed at $3,700, the 1 year avg. is $4,167, the 90 day avg. is $3,958, and the
30 day avg. is $3,950. Congrats on owning that book in that condition.

@esaravo thanks for the information.

I think I'll put the value of the Iron man at $300 and if it hits a 9.6 I'll take the extra in grading costs.

And the DD at $1k thinking it's a high chance of getting a 9.8 after a press and getting hit with the extra charge after grading.

I'm into those books for $300 so that will cover any unfortunate situations.

These are the two books, so after a press I'm thinking a good shot at Ironman in 9.6 and DD at 9.8 both white pages.

If they came in a slot lower I won't be crying for what I paid for em.

I'll be dropping these off across the street as it looks like cbcs won't be at Emerald City this year.

I'll be dropping off other books as well from bronze age

It's sad to see that you are sending those books to the cgc, especially knowing and witnessing all the problems the company has and the damage their slabs can cause to such pretty books.

There's a big difference between doing what's best and doing what's the easiest. However, everyone has to make their own decisions, I suppose.

Over 250 books submitted to CBCS within the last year with none of them damaged, residing in better holders, looking fabulous with the new labels, and no shitshow drama surrounding my submissions.

None were modern.

I had email correspondence with CGC and assurances on there being no problems. No idea if it made a difference.

My next submission may go to CBCS or it may go to CGC.
