The apple sauce and pudding were the best part... Bronte private msg quote post Address this user
@DrWatson

I have no idea if this is possible. It does sound unlikely though I agree.

Regardless she went to restroom and found that in toilet. Scary sight regardless of circumstances.

@Bronte name it JubJub and keep it as a pet.

@flanders

The lizard in question, was picked up by my buddy's son and summarily tossed out the window where he went on to live to invade another toilet.

@Bronte That's a first that I have seen as well.
The buggers get in through any small crack, but that's crazy.
Aqualung, held his breath for how long? Swam through what?
He looks right at home there.

Or someone just tossed their pet lizard in the toilet and snapped a photo.... but no one would ever do that. Everything's true on the Internet.

@Bronte Crazy. Bugger swam through saw sewage. He needs to take a dip in some bleach to kill the sludge film he now has...

My buddy's mother in law had this in her house. You may not know me, but I assure you that I'm not pulling a prank. I have better things to do than to perpetuate lies.

@Bronte You, sir, are above reproach. I would never insinuate otherwise. I just find it hard to fathom knowing that the smallest and simplest things can put a toilet on lock down.

The number of turds I've had to auger out over the years is countless...

@poka - Either way it shouldn’t affect the grade. It might look better attached (with archival tape), but the grader’s notes would (should) indicate that there’s a small piece of tape on the cover. CGC used to note the presence of tape on their labels, but stopped that practice several years ago. Now you have to look at their notes for tape, detached covers or pages, etc. I believe that CBCS still lists those details on their labels.

Ed - thanks - aware that does not impact the grade - just wondering whether a pref between missing corner or a piece of tape

@poka Archival tape, applied correctly on the inside, will not be visible on the front. I would reattach it, simply for the best presentation.

Not a question but instead a PSA!!

My father inlaw had a bladder infection...so they put him on a cathadore...during one of the installs there was a tear in his urethra, which caused an infection...that then spread to his heart??!!!
He will be fine... aggressive antibiotics and fever is gone...now waiting on more tests etc.

So the PSA is....
be careful who you let touch your junk!!

Glad to hear he's alright....as I've always thought....They teach you to wash your hands after you pee...shouldn't you wash your hands before too?

Glad he is good. My wife is a nurse and she always said that is the leading cause of infection and her grandma died from the exact same thing.

So I don't see anything listed under the Events tab on the website.
Will anyone be updating that anytime soon?
The new convention season will be getting an early kick start on February 6th at the Orlando Mega-Con.
CBCS has attended this con for many years now. Surely they will be there again, yeah????

It's going to be so packed with Todd McFarlane attending this year.
The line will be a mile long. An easy 4 to 6 hour wait.
I am planning on going on Thursday only. So I will not be one of those in that long line.

Hope to see Gerry Conway & Alex Saviuk. And my friends Jose Varese from Miami & hippie Borock if he drags himself over from Tampa. The other guy who would be there is Matt Edwards. I have not heard anything on where he may show up. Here's a thought, he might hook up with PSA to bring them signings. He knows all of the artists and he would bring a ton of business.

Time will tell what happens with signature events here at CBCS. Hope the bean counters have a plan....

Generally what would the minimum value of a book have to be (for you) to get graded?

In general, unless there is sentimental or some other value associated with it, I would say that the value of the graded book should be at least double the cost of the book, including grading, pressing, shipping, and insurance. Otherwise, you could probably make about the same profit selling it raw.
