@Davethebrave Doesn't archival tape trigger a conserved grade though? |

But the world may not be rational, so if doing this to immediately sell, maybe - maybe - using tape that could damage the paper may be “better”… in the bizarre potential treatment of modern scotch tape as universal label vs a conserved (professionally done) or restored if using the superior archival. I know I’d tape, and would use archival or artist’s tape to do so. But I guess there is some risk that a grader treats a simple taped on piece as evidence (alone) of restoration or conservation. I have more thoughts on conserved treatment in comics but… |

Not that anyone asked but here's my thoughts. Restoration in the art community isn't frowned upon. Done properly a piece can appreciate in value quite a bit. I guess the main argument would be the piece is a one of. My argument to that would be what about a resto job on say a Picasso litho or a Durer etching thats say a run of fifty? Hell, there are numerous copies of The Thinker. Sorry, this answers no questions but I think I gather what Dave is laying down. |

So I was thinking about fixing my mustang and have it drivable instead of a garage ornament. It has a kill switch, but being a foxbody mustang, it takes about 2 minutes to steal. Anyone have a hard wired gps solution they can recommend?

Want to send in two more old label slabs for the new one. Is it possible to add extra $$ for pics? If I note it on the submission can CBCS charge it? Thanks in advance |

@ComicNinja0215 I've swapped a few out already (as well as straight new subs) but wish I inquired about pic option for the swaps. Hard to get 'perfect' pics of slabs for inventory documentation (gave up finding the 'right' scanner |

I was wondering how you guys go about insuring your comics. I have home insurance but I haven't listed any of my books. Do you value at list and insure that amount. I know a lot of you have high value items so I am curious. While my collection isn't amazing it's not nothin. Thanks you'd be surprised at what I learn on here. I come from a family who never had enough anything to insure.

I also use collectinsure. I take a photo of all my slabs and one of the serial number. I use a cloud account to synch the pix off my phone so I always have a picture of all my books backed up. One thing you might want to look into. Home insurance generally covers a very limited portion of collection. You may want to keep that in mind when buying collection insurance. |

Nice this is super helpful. I'll have to check my homeowner out first. My collection may be covered enough. But hopefully as time goes on it will grow to an all powerful collection. I appreciate the info. The amount of help people offer here is really cool.
