I was actually at the place where it is filmed in 2019!!

It was at the Weald and Downland Living Museum - an outdoor museum with historic buildings from 950AD to the 19th century that were rebuilt/restored on a decent sized farm and included gardens and animals and re-enactors through the ages with crafts you can make on site etc.etc. - just a great visit.
We were there because my wife wanted to go (one of our fav historians - Lucy Worsley - often uses the site for her shows - the christmas one was great!) and turned out it was awesome and while touring the grounds there was the Repair Shop building!!! had no idea it was there

I gave the Road House remake on Amazon a try. It was fine. Fights were solid. In the past few weeks in theaters I saw Civil War, Monkey Man, and Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. I would say Civil War was the best but the least pleasant. Ungentlemanly Warfare was fine but I'm shocked it has such a high rottentomatoes audience score. It's very by-the-book and the only hint of Guy Ritchie's usual flair is the British accents.

I didn't really like Roadhouse until Conner McGregor showed up. His caricature performance gave it a lift in entertainment value. I also enjoyed the Dalton character mocking the villains for their cliche antics.

Shogun- Really enjoyed it, I thought the casting was exceptional. The acting was good enough to let you forget that you were watching actors. You have to pay close attention in order to keep track of all the locations and characters and their roles, not something you can watch as background.

Rebel Moon I and II- Amateur hour on every level. Almost to the point of being a parody or caricature of a space drama.

My latest pair of movies were Challengers and Boy Kills World. Challengers was good but left me with a lot of questions. I might go see it again although I know some of the answers I want aren't in the movie. Boy Kills World was bonkers; I recommend it to anyone who enjoys action movies that go for it. Looking forward to The Fall Guy this weekend.
