I’m sitting here, re-bagging and boarding some older Swamp Thing books I picked up and saw this stamp on the back of a board.
I looked up the shop, and it’s gone as the owner has passed away, but wow! What a history.
Dave Sims worked here in the mid 70’s and this was one of the first comic shops in North America according to the Wikipedia details.
Sometimes it’s really amazing to think about where all the comics in my collection have traveled from.

Wow....what a memory blast....being from Toronto, I remember my buddy's dad driving my friend and I to this shop.....Being a teenager in the early-mid 80s was a special time for comic shops and comic conventions.

I would think this would be available at any store that sells Kemp's milk, and not just in Minnesota.

Because it's Earth Day. These are all from my personal collection and this is one of only a small handful of comics of which I bought multiple copies when released.

not sure I have the hang of things but I'm slowly dialing in?

gonna have to take a break though..I just use the free credits and am burning through what I have...need to save for a few weeks to try more tweeks to my prompts?

For starters...don't know what the deal is with globe shaped ships/vessels...I do like the proper shaped ones now though

through NightCafe Creator - just on the internet
It's an AI art thingy - you type in a bunch of stuff and choose what AI model you want to use (no Idea on what does what - just chose the 1st one) and then also choose the style, run time and some other options- let it run and see what pops up!!

There's a pro version but that costs $$ so I just use the free one - everyday you get 5 free credits for checking in and there bonus credits for like surveys or sharing on instagram etc.
I tend to run 16 images from one promt at the same time so it costs me more credits - but lately I've been getting decent results - like those 4 images were all from the same promt

It's AI though right...so sometimes you get an image with 3 arms or body parts out of no where!!!
Sometimes things just don't come back as you envisioned...and sometimes you just type in things like Thomas the Tank Engine as a Dalek!!!

actually...I don't think the AI thingy allows that?? never tried - even some of the skimpier ones that it generated were a pleasant surprise given my prompt...and while alluring...was not what I was aiming for...trying for the classic EC style girl in a space suit on an alien planet
Think I need to try "glass" helmet as a prompt and somehow the suits don't have enough dials etc...maybe suit with controls? or with breathing apparatus/scuba tanks/air tanks/canisters?
need to google the difference in tank vs canister vs??? the AI don't know!!! it just takes the words and runs with it!
Like I found that Ray Gun gives me more what I'm looking for than Laser Gun...still not quite right either one though...maybe like "Buck Rogers ray gun" as a prompt?

There's no such thing as vegetables!!! - they are edible parts of plants

Carrots and Beets are roots
Spinach is a leaf
Cauliflower, Artichokes and Broccoli are immature flowers

Technically Tomatoes, Cucumbers etc. are fruit - they grow from flowers and have seeds on the inside

When someone tells you to eat your veg you can say NO - because they don't exist!!...although there are really good reasons to still eat the edible plant parts formally known as vegetables

I got this X-men 135 in a giveaway a while back. I finally got around to inspecting it and found a CGC label tucked in the center fold. Makes me wonder why it was cracked.
