Scientists and artists at the Louvre have created a perfect digital reproduction of the Mona Lisa as Leonardo da Vinci would have seen it. They digitally removed the varnish and "de-aged" the paint pigments to what they would have looked like 500 years ago.

Mona Lisa today:

What Mona Lisa looked like when first painted:

I am flying out to Vegas later this month and was looking at what you can and can't bring on a plane. Comic books are approved. I am just surprised that they had comic books listed. You cannot take a magic 8 ball on a plane though.

I came across these two items coincidentally in the same day. I thought they dovetailed together interestingly:

Past:
"One study found that the reading scores of students in a New York City elementary school were significantly lower if their classrooms were situated close to elevated subway tracks on which trains rattled past every four to five minutes. When the researchers, armed with their findings, pressed NYC transit system officials and Board of Education members to install noise-dampening materials on the tracks and in the classrooms, students' scores jumped back up. Similar results have been found for children near airplane flight paths."

More notably, the teacher's Grindr alerts outnumbered all of them.

Should we call them Media Slabs? There are still non smartphone cell phones available. You can a flip or a Nokia brick style; I have no idea who uses them
