Its been in development since Marvel bought Fox. But the MCU Fantastic Four has been cast. Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm |

I think what is missing is Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. What is interesting is that a Dr Doom casting still has not been announced. It would seem with a desperate need of a big bad in the MCU right now, they would really need to hit a home run on that one right now. |

I wonder if Padro Pascal will go on a journey with a powerful orphan that he basically adopts all while everyone and everything is chasing them

If Marvel wants another hit, they should think about making that the story. ![]() I am a little leery about the age gap between Reed and Sue in this iteration, but we shall see how the writers handle that. For someone to have a hothead younger brother, they probably had to cast this way if they really wanted Pedro for this. |

I guess it depends on which version of FF. Even so, 13 is probably a little over the largest difference in the books.

Yea but stuff like that happens all the time in movies. It's common for 20-somethings to play high school students. 13 years seems close enough to me assuming they are trying for the old-school FF... and I hope they are.

Not thrilled about Pascal. He can't be in everything, people! Other than that, I like it.

I really really really really really really hope this is the new, fresh start for the MCU after a series of abysmal offerings (with exception of GOTG3). Did I say "really"? |

@Nuffsaid111 I think this film will be/should be as important to the MCU as the Avengers and the X-men. I hope it gets the respect and attention it deserves. I hope it's a vehicle for good story telling entertainment purposes and not a modern day/current morality tale.

Pedro Pascal is a horrible choice. I respect him as an actor. He was brilliant in Narcos. But, so wrong for this part. We need a current-day Steven Boyd or Burt Lancaster type. A Shakespearian, intense and serious, virile with grey temples, and the overarching gravitas of a father. Pascal would make a terrific Doctor Doom though. Wonât moviemakers ever get this right?

A younger Bryan Cranston would have been goodâŚsigh! Wait, is this a comedy? Are they trying to do a madcap follow up to the classic Thor: Love and Thunder? Please, for the love of all that is holy, noooo!

It has its cast, but does it have its movie? Plenty of storylines that are great from the comics to use, but something tells me they will use the standard formula, that is failing these days. Madame Web should have remained an old lady in a wheelchair for instance IMO, but that is not the preferred formula for the studios. |

There can be sparse, well placed, comedic aspects here and there. But if this becomes the (primarily) comedy act that the last few films tried to be, very bad. Targeting a Superhero movie to only be a funny movie and succeeding is one thing (that I don't like, but can handle if it is truly funny) Targeting a Superhero movie to only be funny and not hitting the mark is a severe swing and a miss. That's what they've been lately. (Not to mention piss poor storytelling as well) |

Should be like the Lee and Kirby run; has to be about family first. I just hope they don't turn sue into the leader.
