Doodoo doodoo! Mind blowing stuff, right? | Caffeine_Kid private msg quote post Address this user | |
Latest wins. I wasn't lucky on my bids on a whack of Bulletman comics. Just as well as I would have been too light in the wallet otherwise. Easy to get caught up in the excitement. 1942 Big Little Books I rarely see Big Little Books in auctions, A whack of books that I should have been more aggressive in bidding. They were cheap. 1936 to 1939 |

Checked out some new high grade raw books at my lcs today. Picked up this sweet unread Daredevil. With corners so sharp it could poke your eyes out. And a killer spine. And I cherry picked out a Swamp Thing 10. Once again sharp corners and a killer spine. And a Shadow 5, I really like black high grade covers as they are rare. Cherry picked from this lot. Razor sharp corners and a killer spine on a black cover. |

Quote:Originally Posted by OGJackster The swamp things were bought 15 issues and unread and shrink wrapped then stored under floor boards for decades. The Swamp Thing 10 cost me $50. The Daredevil from same collection was a one off unread issue in a run of issues. They were strangely shrunk wrapped individually. $45 The Shadow 5 came shrink wrapped in a bundle of 10. I'm not a really big fan of The Shadow but I love high grade black covers and it cost me $18 So if anyone is looking for a high grade Swamp Thing 10 or Shadow 5, I can put you in touch with the shop. |

I have been too busy over the last several months to sell or trade many comics, and I have also been saving up for a missing key that I needed for my ASM run. So it seems like itโs been eons since I made a comic purchase. Anyway, last week I threw a bid in on an eBay auction for that key book and went to bed. I found out the next morning that I won the auction (and for $1 less than my maximum bid). So the mailman brought me this today. Now I only need about 7 issues for my ASM #17 to 400+ run. Less than two weeks to go until retirement, so I will hopefully be able to make more deals soon. |

Picked up this unread copy. I was late to the party and another copy of this issue had sold so I'm wondering how nicer that copy was. |

I've been brokering trades these days like my advisor. I'm finally at the point where "keys" of things don't necessarily appeal to me. I could loose 3 short boxes of graded books and not realize it. This feller cost me a Hulk 180 and Spotlight 32. I'm calling it a 7.0 after lab work. |
