| UF4 CGC 9.8 sold in Jan at MCS for $1136, I assume it was in the Prime Auction last week. Another 9.8 is in this week's regular auction...presumably it couldn't get into the Prime auction because the other copy was already scheduled there. Will there be any real difference in selling price for a book like this in the Prime Auction vs. regular weekly auction? Lower? Higher? Insignificant difference? Any guesses? https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=60181323 For what it's worth, the January price of $1,136 was down about $130 from a December MCS price, down $200 from a November price and down over $300 from an October price for CGC 9.8. |

| I didn't think you could get $1K books into the weekly auction, everything we have priced over $400 they pretty much force into the Prime auctions. It's a bit frustrating sometimes but I understand, they want the Prime auctions to be special and attract more attention than the weekly's. For that reason I'll guess lower, but I also think that book is in freefall because the printing numbers are catching up to the hype of significance. |
