Recently purchased a copy of Secret Warriors vol. 1 no. 1 that seems to be some sort of unidentified variant. (When the UPC is scanned, it is associated with Deadpool #50 (2008)) Instead of the "Direct Edition" banner next to the barcode it has "Marvel Supreme" (See pictures). Other than that, everything appears the same as a regular direct market book. Anyone else come across this? ![]() ![]() |

It's a Newsstand edition (based on the barcode you are showing). They often had weird names associated with them that may have been shared across other books (Marvel Supreme in this case). | ||

It's a newsstand edition. In the post-2000s, Marvel would sometimes borrow a UPC of another title and just slap it on the bardcode for the newsstand edition of a different title. Joosh or HCanes could probably provide a better explanation than me. | ||
