| When I was 12 or so, I remember my best friend was into Sonic the Hedgehog. The game & the comics. He was excited to mail away for a special silver foil edition of #25. I couldn’t remember the issue number, if it was 25 or 50, but his younger brother confirmed it’s #25. He was particularly bummed when, despite the mailer having “do not bend” printed on it, the mail person did just that cramming it into his mailbox, bending it in half. I thought it would be fun to track this issue down for nostalgia sake. What’s confusing me is, I can only find a silver foil version. Maybe in-hand, the newsstand version looks different? I can’t find any reference to the mail away aspect, even on MyComicShop. Can anyone shine some light on this?  |
