| A Halloween appropriate sales post, if there ever was one.... ....just got notice about an hour or so ago from MyComicShop that a few of my consignments were processed and ready for pricing, figured I'd post up a link to this one, just in time for Halloween night  Famous Fantastic Mysteries (1939-1953 Frank A. Munsey/Popular/Altus) Pulp #Aug 1946 GD 2.0 Volume 7 #5 CLASSIC Skull Cover Bram Stoker Story Horror Pulp GRAIL https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=59771193 Asking $300 BIN or Best Offer. CGC unrolled their news about pulp grading at the NYCC a couple weeks back so get in before the gold rush starts, I guess.  https://www.instagram.com/p/CyOdTfbL9Gj/?ref=flujo_portada&hl=ne Only one other copy available on eBay, which looks to be around a 3.0-4.0 with no grade assigned by the seller other than eBay's "Very Good" grade, is priced at $399....from a reputable dealer, with no best offer option given. ComicConnect sales histories via their search for sold items show a single sale of this pulp. https://www.comicconnect.com/item/991864 ComicConnect did not notate the trimming on the bottom of the FC & BC.  I say it's trimming as the bottom area of the spine is longer than the corresponding area on the FC & BC. The FC and BC outer edge also look trimmed along the length of the pulp, as well. I have a pretty decent chunk of MyComicShop auction wins due shortly, so feel free to send me an offer to help me cover a $2000+ bill of auction winnings, due next week.  PRICE CUT FROM $300 to $190This is cheaper than the trimmed copy that sold in ComicConnect’s 3/2023 auction and half the price of the only available copy on eBay, or anywhere else on the internet per an exhaustive Google search. https://www.ebay.com/itm/115867162605 I normally would let it sit at 300/BO, but I have around 2 grand worth of winnings from recent mycomicshop auctions that are due next week so I priced it to move. |
