Did the raiders get the memo... they were supposed to play football tonight....
Don't know what they call what they are doing, but it doesn't look like football...

Probably not, Cowboys has a hard time with the 49ers.

And on that note, I am going to get a good book and read it. Too Hell with football 😁

70 is the most in like 60 years. I figured tua would have like 500 yards and 6 touchdowns but somehow they ran for like 400 yards. Over 700 total yards is the most I have ever seen. Crazy chargers should have beat them

Here's one of Kirk Cousins comments during the post-game interview yesterday.

Huh? I think he just said that he doesn't make it a habit to make decisions. Here's the full q&a.

No leadership quality at all. He's got great stats. He seems like a decent guy. But, he's gotta go. We need a quarterback who can inspire and lead a team.

@Jesse_O I understand your feelings and can even agree with you to a point. I am just curious who you feel they could get that would give them a better chance of salvaging the season? I am not sure who the backup QB is in Minnesota or if he presents a realistic option moving forward. Trading Cousins to the Jets for future draft capital would be essentially throwing in the towel after week three. I also question how much they would really give for him since he would basically be a hired gun for this year only, with Aaron Rodgers expected to return next year. Do you see another team out there that could be considered a serious contender for a trade? It seems to me like you guys may be stuck with him (for this season, anyway).

@michaelekrupp with one of the worst 3 defenses in the league, my hope of salvaging this season isn't totally gone, but it's paper thin at this point. I fully expect us to go 0-5. While trading Cousins is probably an option, I'm hoping the Vikes jut bench him and have him work with the other qbs (Nick Mullens and Jaren Hall). I think Cousins has a lot of know how that he could possibly teach them.

Nick Mullens is a five year vet. From the little I've seen of him, I like him. I'd say to let him start and see what he can do. Jaren Hall is a rookie drafted this year from BYU. He's supposed to be quick, mobile, agile and a great passer. Bump him up to backup Mullens and maybe give the kid some experience when the game isn't on the line.

Of course, none of this will happen. I'm just dreaming. And actually, if we traded Cousins for future picks and just went with Mullens and Hall, I'd be fine with that. Maybe we could resign that XFL qb we signed and then let go during the preseason.

Hmmm, you make a convincing case to back the Red Rifle in Week #4. Well played @Jesse_O...

Just trade cousins. He is still going to get multiple picks probably 1 first rounder. He is still better then 10 qbs. This is the nfl issue they never get off players. The nba he would be gone.

Man, what a bust this week. I need to stop looking at coaching staffs, players, stats of both coaching staffs/players, comparatives of coaches vs other teams coaching staffs, and all that jive, jeezz...😅

@Jesse_O Kirk is essentially Andy Dalton. He is a likable person and a good ball player but he isn't the guy who is going to put the team on his back and elevate everyone around him. Unfortunately in the league, if you have a halfway decent QB, then you get stuck with them until the team can tank enough for another cheaper option and maybe stumble upon that generational talent.

@Studley_Dudley at least Dalton shows some passion on the field. But yeah, you're point is accurate.

As for a trade, I found this article interesting. Here's the situation in a nutshell.

According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, Cousins still really likes playing in Minnesota and would prefer to finish the season with the team. He also holds a full no-trade clause, providing him with full control over whether or not he’s traded and which team he could be dealt to this season.

If the Vikes had 1 less turnover each game played thus far there is a very good chance they would be 3-0 and the Cuz would be sitting in the cat bird seat...

No trade clause. A teams worst enemy and the dumbest thing they can give a player. Unless you are top 3 player in a league its not happening.

Yep, just like last year. Exciting year. Great record. Division Champs. Kirk was going shirtless and wearing chains. Netflix did a series with him in it. I know how that story ends. We lost the first playoff game.

I hate to say it, but the ones who said that last years record was pure luck were right. We won the majority by less than one td. We kept the turn overs low. The Vikes could possibly do the same thing for the rest of the year, but Cousins still would not be a leader. Unfortunately, I don't see anyone on the offense stepping up to be one. Jefferson is a great guy, but not someone who will take charge, imo.

It's probably because the Chargers always seem to be smiling and the Vikings wear purple uniforms.
