After a bit of a delay (thanks to FedEx) I finally got my books back from SDCC. It's always a pretty good mail call when your lowest grade is a 9.0

I enjoy movie promos and this became my main project for the show as every creative named on the cover (and one that wasn't) was present on the show and I was able to get them all the same day.

I noticed a lot of video game comics on dealers' walls this year. Mostly focusing on old Nintendo books. But I did have this first American Resident Evil comic with cover art by Bill Siekiewicz, which was also used for the US release of the first Resident Evil game.

Gotham Academy was a really fun book for younger readers. Becky Cloonan did let me know that she and Karl Kerschel are trying to get a new run of the book going but that the wheels at DC move very slowly so if it happens, it wouldn't be for a while. I also wasn't aware of the indica mistake on the second print. It reminded me of a small discussion I had a few years ago with Steve Palus on CBCS "ALWAYS" going by the indica for the book's title (specifically the Batman #1 WB Studio Tour variant, which CBCS labels as "Batman Museum" due to the indica) despite plenty of examples of CBCS interpreting the indica differently across different books.

I wasn't aware this was a manufacturing error. I do wonder if this "error" affects all copies of this book. I might have to dig up my second copy and see if it also has two digital copy stickers

Just a Hughes cover I really like. I was tempted to get more of my Tomb Raider books signed but ended up going with Elektra.

I really wanted to get a commission at the show but didn't have the budget for anything major by known artists. I did walk Artist's Alley a few times and ended up getting this for a reasonable $20 to add to my other Elektra sketches

This was my dad's book. A CPR situation that resulted in a nice grade bump from an old 9.6 to a new 9.8!

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I don't think I paid attention to the digital stickers but my Mockingbird isn't listed as a manufacturer error.

Nice books!

Thank you!

I’ve had that happen before. It was also on that Off-White/White border so I wonder if it was just different graders seeing a borderline case a little differently.

Also, is the Direct Edition of this book rarer than the Newsstand? I know it took some time in the 80s for direct sales to overtake newsstand and I do see far fewer direct editions on ebay
