| Newbie here. I commissioned Arthur Suydam to draw me a sketch cover at this years fan fusion in Phoenix. I didn’t have an account then, and would like to get it graded and verified. Is this possible? | ||

| Yes, as long as it is signed by the artist. They can't verify a sketch, only the signature. My advice would be to submit it under the ART designation having the signature verified. | ||

| There's no point in spending extra money for a numerical grade when it's a sketch cover. Of course, it's his book and his money to spend, or waste, as he sees fit. | ||

| @Firegoof19 if it’s for resale and has a shot at 9.8 (at least 9.6) then I would grade it. If it has corners messed up or bends / creases and looks 9.4 or lower you may want to do “ART” label with a verification. I’ve done this on books that the artist handled poorly or was just lower grade to start with (but was the only blank cover I had at the time). Post a pic of the piece if you don’t mind as well :-) |
