Basically, it was all on the sideline. Before the half, we gave up three turnovers. For two of those, Cousins lost the ball and the Bucs recovered. For the third, Cousins tried forcing a throw and it got picked off in the red zone. Several times during the first half, I saw Cousins on the sideline, sitting alone on the bench, looking defeated. He wasn't studying the opponent's defense. He wasn't engaging with other players. He wasn't planning with the coaches. Nothing. He wasn't leading. That concerns me. Also, I think his attitude spread to others in the second half. I saw both Jefferson and Hockenson look like they had given up in the fourth quarter. I know I only saw glimpses of the sideline, but what I saw was a leaderless team. That's concerning. |

@Jesse_O Great analysis! I noticed Cousins’ body language as well and I agree that is cause for concern. I still say don’t worry yet because this game will be quickly forgotten if they upset the Eagles on Thursday night. If they lay another egg then, it will definitely be time to worry.

Terrible way to start a season. They'll get their ass beat by the Lions too so it seems to be more of the same in Chicago unfortunately. |

@Surf75 Although I confined my initial analysis mainly to playoff teams from last year, I agree with you that they have to be a little worried in Chicago. I think as far as the Bears go, it may be a case of unrealistic expectations. Justin Fields has shown me nothing thus far to make me believe he is a legitimate pocket passer, in spite of the hype train. Look how many people on the forum expected Chicago to win that game! I think the preseason hype balloon has definitely been punctured. I could make a similar argument for the Steelers. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and hopefulness when everyone’s team is undefeated, but it’s wise to remember that, ultimately, preseason means nothing!

I’m a bad person……. Being a Detroit fan I’ve been kinda laughing. Not really because he is hurt but because the Jets are suckers. I’m going to lose 10 dollars on the Jets now but it’s all worth it with the comedic irony.

@HeinzDad truth be told I’m not a big Rodgers fan…and I’m pretty much numb to the circumstances since it’s pretty much been like this for what? 15 years now? No worries.

Jets Bills OT...reminds me of at least 1 reason I dislike NFL. OT rules are stupid, stupid, stupid...use our OT rules for a better game.... |

Usually the Jets are the ones snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. When these two teams get together…weird things happen. |

Torn Achilles for Rogers. Out for season, likely beyond. Brutal man, Wilson isn't going to be an answer.

Wow!! While I'm no fan of Rodgers, I hate to see that happen to him. That's probably how he ends his career. That would suck!!!!! Do you think the Jets would be interested in Cousins? Too soon? |

Edit: to answer you though, maybe????? |
