Next week I’ll be in Itasca, IL, for a couple of days and then we will stay on the Miracle Mile for a few more. Are there any comic shops I should visit? I’m 50 and collect mostly Silver and some Bronze. (Dipping my toe into Gold.) So please, no modern fomo shops or Funko Pop pits. Just older stuff that smells good and makes your wallet cringe. This group never leads me astray when I travel. Thanks up front!

If you're going to be in Itasca, you're going to be close to Graham Crackers western suburban stores: the Wheaton one being closest to Itasca. They do have a pretty good amount of Silver and Bronze - tons of back issue goodness. It's off of Butterfield Rd (a.k.a. route 56) in a strip mall. The Graham Crackers in the Loop (corner of Madison Ave and Michigan Ave) also has a ton of back issues/Silver & Bronze, it's just a little more cramped than the suburban stores. While you're in the city, it's worth it to take the Red or Brown line train up to the Belmont stop and take the short walk to Chicago Comics. Very cool store with lots of old stuff. Most other Chicago stops are all about Copper/Modern Age stuff.
