for some reason wings turn out better off propane alone. The last two times I smoked them but they weren’t as good.

I gasped since that chicken looked like a frog at first glance. I'm glad you're not having deep fried richard for dinner.

Was able to harvest a half-dozen or so green peppers from the garden. My wife whipped up some pretty tasty stuffed peppers with them!

We cut up the broccoli stalks, it goes in with the bush, we also use them as dipping sticks. My brother won't eat broccoli/veggies unless it's smothered with ranch.🤣🤣🤣

They have a good copycat recipe online if they don’t carry it in your area.

Homemade bbq sauce. ketchup, brown sugar, liquid smoke, seasonings to taste, honey as optional additive.🤣🤣🤣

@DrWatson, I didn't respond at all because I don't have a bbq sauce recipe. It's hard enough to come up with pulled pork let alone a home made sauce. Sauce is a whole nother rabbit hole.

I do have some I like though. You can't go wrong with original sweet baby ray as seen above but these are my staples.

As you can see this is opened because I always have it. Im pretty sure this is regional.

I think these might be more local but id plug for them. My pops lives just north of Indiana border and he ran across the Hoosier Daddy Ghost Roast and got me a bottle. Ive been a fan ever since.....

The crazy thing is as time goes on and I get better with the smoker I use less and less bbq.

I found a Kansas City recipe from Southern Living (very similar to Gates) and tweaked it a little. I halved the cayenne pepper, added a teaspoon of cumin, and two tablespoons of brown sugar. It's pretty good. It might taste even better after it sits a day.

Ingredients (Recipe as printed before tweaking.)

2 cups ketchup

½ cup apple cider vinegar

2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon celery seeds

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

I like the original Bullseye BBQ sauce because it's cheap and sold at just about every grocery store. It's super thick and I can kick the heat way way up with habaneros or Carolina Reapers. I pull the label off so not accidentally used by anyone else.
