The apple sauce and pudding were the best part... | Bronte private msg quote post Address this user
@DrWatson Not so sure you can fake veal, but my brother got the chicken variety and im sure that would be easy to mimic. Although the pasta I think was fresh, it didn't taste like regular boxed pasta. The place I went to seemed a bit higher end than most Italian places I've been to. |

My wife made me tamales for Father’s Day. I’ve been eagerly awaiting them for 2 months, they are a pain in the arse to make. Tried a new rice as well. |

Calamari and shrimp from Olive Garden. It was good however too much breading. My wife hates seafood and the smell of it.So I was solo for dinner tonight. |

@BrianGreensnips my wife hates seafood as well so I get it at every opportunity. I love all seafood so it's frustrating. I get tired of chicken sometimes.

More lazy kitchen experiments: The oil in these artichoke jars makes a really nice marinade base for chicken breast (assuming you like artichoke hearts). It's a very subtle flavor so I suggest poking many holes in the breast with a fork and cutting into smallish pieces to increase the marinating surface area. It became a much bigger hit with the family when I added Basil Pesto to the marinade: Eventually took it a step further and added Truffle/Black Garlic/Parmesan seasoning to it: Two giant jars of artichoke hearts sells for about $11 at Costco. Strangely, Walmart.com offers the same Kirkland brand jars for about $60 online. |
