It says "FRAG" where the sticker sits. So maybe the person who did it was a Lobo fan?

Joking aside, I hate getting packages like that.

The vines probably got an hour to sit before it rained on them. That said, every poison ivy vine will more than likely live since the spray was washed off. If I had gotten just one drop on something I didn't want to spray, it would already be killed to the ground.

I’m not allergic to that stuff you know. I’ll come down there and bust it for room and board.

As of right now?

- Me using more time than I'd like just to get a good photo of a single comic.

- Reading issue 14 of the current Batman and Robin series (which none of my local LCSs carry) just to find out that Ra's al Ghul pulled a 'castling' (a chess move that has the rook switch places with the king). All because Bruce told Damian not to touch the chess board, and why.

- Also reading issue 7 of the current Batgirl series just to be reminded that they are bringing back Lady Shiva's sister as the leader of the Unburied.

- The word 'headcanon' and how it has incorrectly replaced the word 'theory'.

- How good Tom Taylor's first arc on Detective Comics was. Mostly because him writing anything post-Titans has gone under my radar.

- That Gorgol Bordello's "Start Wearing Purple" is nobody else's Joker-themed ear worm.

- The fact that DC Comics is giving every Robin renewed interest. It's like they got the wrong memo when it comes to what @HeinzDad said in this topic.

Does anyone know who SamsCGCGoodies is on MCS?

They have a book I'm interested in listed at $96 with the Make an Offer option available.

Okay, admittedly I started out low with an offer of $75 (~22% off), but I'm prepared for a counter offer. Instantly declined.

Okay, I'll bump it up to $80 (~17% off), instantly declined.

Okay, I'll bump it up to $85 (~11% off), boom, instantly declined again and for the third time. Now, I'm locked out for 10 days.

My complaint is that if you're not even willing to entertain offers of 11% off, then why even have the Make an Offer option active? They don't have to accept my offer, but if they hadn't instantly declined the offer and simply countered back at what they would accept, I would have accepted it.

Now, I'm locked out of offering for 10 days. I could probably buy the book at full price, but I'm too pissed or frustrated at the moment to entertain that idea.

So, I guess what grinds my gears is that if you are only going to offer a 5% discount or less, then why have the Make an Offer feature even available? Just list the book at what you'll sell it for and be done with it.

All they had to do was counter the first, second, or third offer and I would have bought it.

Ugh. People. Grrr...

This annoys me too.

It's a dance between buyer and seller.

The buyer wants the product for as low as he can get it....the seller wants the highest amount he can get.

Make an offer option means you're open to negotiating.

The moment an offer is made....regardless of the quality of that offer...the negotiation has begun and an acceptance or counter offer is expected.

I had a guy on Facebook marketplace ask me what lowest offer I would take on speakers would be. I said 280. He said I'll give you 240.

I replied, why ask me what my lowest I'll take is if you will lowball me anyway? Id rather throw it away than sell it to you at that price.

As luck would have it another guy offered 250 today. I said 275. He said sold. I told him to bring exact change because I don't carry cash. He had 270. I said no. He pulled out a 20 and said merry Xmas.

We both were literally standing next to a bank. He could have gone to the atm and paid atm fee and still came out ahead of what he gave me. But he decided to be the nice guy. Somedays life rolls in your favor.

Travelling for work. I was in Alabama this past week. Not bad and had a good time. I was supposed to be home Friday night, but the world had other plans. Instead of flying from AL to Reagan in DC, the flight is redirected to Richmond, VA due to severe weather. No problem. Five hours later, we make the 15-minute flight back to Reagan. Awesome, I can make my connection and be back in Dayton before midnight. "Nope, f**k that!" cried the universe as we sat on the tarmac for an hour waiting for a gate. The flight kept getting moved back further and further. It took another six hours for American Airlines to cancel that flight.

So, I mosey on over to the customer service counter to get rebooked. Nothing today. Can't even get close. Close like Cincinnati, Columbus, Lexington, Louisville, and Indianapolis. Nothing. Sunday night I'll be home. You can be damn sure I'm charging every f**king second of this baloney to the contract. The comp time will serve me well for Memorial Day weekend. I may have transcended anger and after being awake for more or less 30+ hours, I'm surprisingly focused.

@Studley_Dudley I feel for you. I got stuck like that once in Chicago. I was so mad I was pissing blood and the airline was useless. This meant missed connections and everything.

Luckily, I was able to track down Borock and bum the extra bed in his room.

I don't think I've flown since. I hate airlines.
