Yes the discount only applies to non-consignment books. Only books specifically owned by MCS.

thanks!! @DrWatson @DWeeB1967
Just as I suspected!
I'll need to wait for Marvel A - N though!

Have my eye on a book- and any little bit of savings is a good thing!

Funny, I was just watching a bowl game and the major sponsor makes a food product called "Soylent". Not sure if the naming was intentional or unintentional. The answer is yes, you are a cannibal until history forgets you ever existed. But out of curiosity, how long ago was it?

I know there is a max $$ for the discount - i.e. 10% will only get you $100 off even if it's a $2000 book
Say I have 1000 on credit but I want to but a book worth 3000 - so net I owe 2000 can I still apply the code and only owe 1900??

Or....should I just email Este!!

Probably eh?

BTW, just enter the code and all your questions will be answered. If you haven't done it before, click the "On Sale" tab and then enter the code. Go look at the items you are interested in, and the discount will already be applied if it qualifies.

The movie Alive comes to mind. It’s about a rugby team who crashed on a plane on the snowy mountains killing a lot of people on the plane, and the survivors had to eat the dead people in order to survive until rescued. Are they cannibals forever? 🤔

yes - but they can be wrong so looking for someone to confirm

it would not be the first time they are wrong with pages

I have also checked first fold, centerfold and last fold to listings on ebay and they all match

You're right...it's not a guarantee but the more sources that state 36 pages the higher the probability that they're correct. My copy is slabbed so I can't open it to count.

Can I send a CBCS slab that I bought online, and have it pressed & cleaned and then regraded?

Yes, to both questions. Does the sketch already has a verified signature by CBCS? If it’s sent in slabbed, it’s possible you might only have to pay for a reholder - you should ask someone at CBCS Customer Service about that.

Thanks a lot for the answers.
Yeah, the sketch is a Yellow label, but the grade is turning the original art sketch into a travesty. I'd rather use OA for these unique pieces, not sure why the original submitter even bothered grading.

Can a Yellow Label (witnessed sig) CBCS book be press screened by CBCS before being reslabbed?

@JazzyJeffie Yup. They can press screen while in the slab and determine if a press can bump the grade. If so, they'll crack, press and re-grade.

Thanks, appreciate that. And if it can't get a grade bump, I'm assuming they will just reholder?

When a CBCS order is on 'Shipping' status (created only last Dec. 4, 2023), and I had Press Screen on, does that mean pressing was already done?
I could have sworn that some of those books would benefit from pressing before slabbing, at least a couple. But turnaround time was really fast, so do you think they did not press screen, or press screened but found no bump in grade?

When do the newly-graded or newly-slabbed (if OA) comic books appear under 'My Collectibles'?
The order is already in 'Shipping' status, so there is an assumption that the labels already exist. Excited to see the grade for a couple of Golden Age books I submitted.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

@JazzyJeffie once they actually ship, usually when you get the "we've shipped your books" email.
