New to Your Collection #1619608

Suck it up, buttercup!! KatKomics private msg quote post Address this user
Not part of my comic collection but instead something for my fountain pen collection. Just fun rather than vintage or gold nib or anything.

Features... That's no moon....its a space station!! written on the barrel

I should count - probably close to 100 fountain pens with my oldest from the 1930's - and still writing beautifully (after a little restoration on my part - new rubber bladders and the like - nothing too crazy!)

Trying to go with quality over quantity lately. The art piece needs a good massaging in the lab to flatten it out.

I think you inspired me to open an MCS package. It was supposed to be a Xmas gift but someone was being a grouch so I just bought it…….

Edit: I could start a trend where I gift myself a comic or two on Thanksgiving.

I’m petrified to un bag this book. There was no scan of the back and I rolled the dice. The cover looks like a 9.0 in the poly. I’m calling stain on the back cover.

I was searching this and found it was owned by none other than @drchaos. I messaged him thru here about a discount and realized I was being cheap on a good deal as it was. I bought it before I heard back. I think it could take a message.

From the last couple of months. Except the ASM - others bought raw. The ASC 7 will probably get pressed to get the spine fixed (main reason is that CGC put it in a magazine sized slab as did not fit comic size due to the spine)

I’m going to have to go thru the interior proper but 6.5 is absurd.

Featuring a clear back board 😉

Edit: that’s not stain on the top of the back cover. My boards were cold.

Bad ass cover. If only the tape was truly transparent.....

You can get transparent but that’s dollar store bs. You gotta use scotch brand.

Met Chukwudi at NYCC.
Really nice guy.
Best question to me was "Wow, are these 2 comics vintage?"

Me: "oh yes, they're almost 35 years old". (Sounded better than not really) 😀

If I could, I would. I swear. DrWatson private msg quote post Address this user
There's a difference between vintage and valuable. You can be one and not the other or both.

Well, the good news is that I now only need 8 books to finish my ASM #17-400+ run. And my Christmas shopping for myself is done!
The only bad news is that I put a big dent in what I was trying to save to be able to purchase a mid-grade copy of ASM #129.

Not really a vinyl guy, but I ran across Incubus’ first release last night online. Apparently, limited to 500 copies.

Side A is “New Skin” which later appeared on S.C.I.E.N.C.E., side B is "Azwethinkweiz" which was released on the Enjoy Incubus E.P.

Now, if I could just figure out how to get Brandon Boyd to sign it …
