This came in today’s mail. I finally realized that a low grade copy is better than no copy of this issue. This one is probably a 2.0, but it completes my quest to have at least the first ten appearances of the LSH (and every one of their SA appearances in Adventure Comics).

Congrats, Ed. You can always upgrade at some point in the future.

@Studley_Dudley thanks, they come from a consignment collection of unread books that included over 100 Demon 1s. These Ghosts were the only copies that came in and were sold as VF+.
If duplicate of these Ghosts copies come into my lcs I'll dm you the shop.

They do mail order.

been super low key on comics lately, did manage to pick up my first early adventure, 2nd cover appearance of the sandman. The New York worlds fair is the sandman's 1st published and cover appearances of sandman but adventure 40 is his recognized 1st appearance, still a cool book to have.

In time but, not yet

I've posted the last 71 books that I got graded. Now I have to see what's next.

If the notion ever strikes you, or you decide to go after another book, I'd be interested in the 9.4 34 and the 38.

Finally had some luck at an estate sale. They had a few boxes that were $2 each and a separate box of as-priced. They did pull a few good things into the as-priced box but they also had stuff in there for $5 or so even though it was no different from the stuff in the $2 boxes. And they didn't pull some good stuff from the $2 boxes. I got everything here for $2 each except the first Cable, for $20, and the magazine, for $4.
