I'm not really a CGC guy but I had to use the grading credits from last year and this year. Their scans, not mine.

@Studley_Dudley - Excellent books and grades, Mike! It’s so hard to find decent copies of those late SA/early BA DC horror titles.

It's been a while since I posted any new buys.

Although I don't read the OPG like I used to, I still make sure and buy the Hero Initiative version every year.

I've really been on a "War That Time Forgot" kick lately. I was finally able to negotiate what I considered to be a fair price for the first issue from an eBay dealer but it took some doing.

And here are the rest I've gotten so far. I'm looking for the remaining issues in VF or better so, if you know of any for sale or trade, please let me know.

Not a huge toy collector but I am a sucker for retro looking toys. This looks like it could have come out in the 70s.

I have been working on my G.I. Combat collection lately. Mostly Haunted Tank stuff, so lots of Bronze Age. I have been toying with the idea of putting together a complete run, but the Quality issues are a bit scarce.

Anyway, these books: the #28 is my first Quality published issue. #215 and #279 are filler, but both in nice shape. #274 is actually a key; it's got the first full appearance of the Monitor. Odd choice, but whatever. And the Dell Combat #1 was too good a deal to pass up.

I was naughty this week and blew out the GPA on this one.

It does sadden me to see someone would get this graded without having it pressed first.

@HeinzDad - Very nice! You could always perform CPR, and why not get it signed by Mike Royer while you are at it?

I could, and I probably will work on it. The thing is, is I usually don’t buy a graded book with the intention of working on it. Especially when it’s one I spent a decent amount on that I’d prefer not to spend more on.

very happy to get this back in the pc, had a copy a few years ago and sold it to fund another book. My wife told me not to sell it but stupid me didn't listen. Classic flag cover and Alex Schomburg at his finest.

I sold a lot of books - a lot of books - but finally got my grail and the last issue I need for my Uncanny run. I now have every issue from 1 to (legacy number) 644. It was a lot harder than getting a no-adjective X-Men run.

I had to crop some pictures because it's in a no-no holder, but here are some more pictures if people want to play grader. I'll be sending it to CBCS shortly.
