I have a ff 12 no back cover. If i got A matching back cover would it grade like it had a detached back cover. I guess this question applies to any missg cover really. Thanks. |

technically it’d be “Restored” but it would definitely be considered complete even if detached.

CGC would either give it a green qualified label at apparent grade, or a blue label 0.5. Either way, by either company, it would be noted as married back cover and graded accordingly.

Likely graded a 1.0 at most, 0.5 at lowest. And "Married" label, not restored.

Ok so there is a way to tell that it's not the original even if it's the same one. Thanks I still might get one and stick it in there. I would really like the copy to be complete.

Quote:Originally Posted by HulkSmash I don't believe so. And to answer Jgwalters question, they'll almost definitely catch that it's married. They look for staple holes that don't line up and differences in paper aging/conditions. |

Quote:Originally Posted by HulkSmash I would consider it a kind of restoration, but a CBCS slab will say "married" instead of "restored". It will also say what was added in, the same way it would describe what restoration was done. |
