Is there a site that lets us know the print run of all (most?) books?19568

Feel free to use my post as a checklist. multi007 private msg quote post Address this user
Specifically, I have 3 copies of Geiger #1 "thank you" variant. They say only one copy of this variant was sent to comic book stores as a "thank you".

But I cant find the print run data. Is it 1/100 ?

Thanks

It’s not a ratio; you have to know how many stores even ordered Geiger, in the first place. You can try the website shown, but I’ve not had great luck with it.

@cyrano0521 @daywalker

Thanks, Im looking at the site now, but it just tells you how popular a book is from re-orders. Nothing mentioning initial print run totals...

@multi007 I don’t have a total number for you but gocollect shows cgc has graded 213 copies of that variant and cbcs has graded 29 of them.

@CoryC thanks I saw that. Not what I’m looking for though.

Thank you sir. May I have another? Siggy private msg quote post Address this user
Only the publishers (and perhaps the printers) know for certain how many they had printed, and its unlikely they'll tell.

It's not a popular answer.

Yeah, whenever I see a “1 per store” variant text blurb, I just assume it is a 1/100 or around there.

It is approximated there are over 2,500 comic book stores. I've also heard 3,000 thrown about. You could conservatively assume a print run of 3,000 if all stores got a copy.
