LOL, it's a Marvel (and James Gunn) movie.

Let's hope this breaks the string of dreadful.... just dreadful garbage they've been putting out.
I'll even accept "OK" review when I'm done watching.

The last few were one step from walking out the door before the movie even ended

Thank you sir. May I have another? Siggy private msg quote post Address this user

If I had gone to see the latest Antman attempt, I probably would have done that after the MODOK "reveal".

I enjoyed it, but I expected a little more tragedy from a trilogy wrapup.
Did anyone else have the same thought I did as to who was on the porch on the end credits scene?
😮

I won't spoil anything. I went with 2 of my kids and we all really enjoyed it. I am glad I saw it. By the way Emagine has a great sound system and really comfortable recliners. I feel it is a better experience than MJR.

Liked it a lot. Started kind of typically, but definitely got better as it rolled along. Maybe too many make you cry moments, but a lot of funny shiz, too. I may see it again.

It's been so so long since I enjoyed one; and this one did it

I went yesterday and enjoyed it. Better than GOTG 2, but not as good as GOTG 1. I was disappointed in how Warlock was portrayed. I think Marvel missed on not introducing him sooner and using him in Infinity War.

@Lonestar For sure, Warlock was a bit of a disappointment. By the end I was more forgiving about it, though.

@SteveRicketts That exactly what my feelings in the character was. Disappointing at first and then the character handled okay by the end.

Any thoughts on Star Lord officially becoming the 1st character in the MCU to drop a F bomb on screen?
I thought it was a severe lapse in judgment to not give that honor to Samuel.

@HotKeyComics It was a complete waste on a throwaway line. If you're going to use it, make it impactful. I felt that it was there because Gunn wanted to trash it up on his way out the door. It really served no purpose.

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I enjoyed it well enough. Pretty nakedly plays for sentimentality. There's a whole lotta man-children in that movie though.

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

There is no better theater experience than EMAX (IMAX + Dolby Atmos).

I thought EMAX was an IMAX visual alternative (Emagine) but with true Atmos for audio, while IMAX had an inferior audio solution but proprietary visual encoding.

My home theater is 7.2 2 (Atmos) and I would definitely sacrifice visual over audio. I guess this means I prefer EMAX but don’t recall if I ever experienced it…

So true. I went cheaper with the regular Emagine experience for this movie. It still rocked.

Does anyone have a preference between MJR or Emagine?
I will give 1 vote for Emagine.

I suppose my post was misleading. The EMAX screens are IMAX format, but not IMAX encoding.

I suppose it's the same as ZSJL being filmed in IMAX format, but not with an IMAX camera.
