@Davethebrave as someone far more experience than I am, do you get better prices trying to sell these higher priced books at conventions or is heritage auctions really the way to go when it comes to 5 or 6-figure books? | ||

@multi007 the folks set up at conventions are dealers, and they won't pay top dollar because their job is resale. They are going to sell at market value so they can't possibly pay market value. They may pay top dollar for shops, but you would only know if you got offers from a bunch of places. Auction houses make their money from buyers and/or sellers fees, so the books themselves sell at whatever a collector is willing to pay at the moment. If the seller fees are less than the reseller profit, which they usually are, auctions get you more money. | ||
