Part II of Galen130's Sale: Copper/Modern Raw Comics---Batman Collection!!!19168

I haven't aired it out. It's part of the provenance. Galen130 private msg quote post Address this user
The next three listings are for Batman: The Long Halloween. These are all the comics I have left from the series. The rest were sold off before Tim Sale's untimely passing. I would have kept the series, but no one could forecast Tim Sale's death at such a young-ish age. I have no desire to collect them all again, so I'm parting with what I have left.

R.I.P. Mr. Sale.

Batman: The Long Halloween #2, Thanksgiving. This comic, and series, was created by Tim Sale and Jeph Loeb.

VF-, or better. Unfortunately, the bottom right corner of the entire comic has a bend through it, which is worse on the front cover. There is light ink breakage at these bends. The back cover shows a few very light scratches/scuffs to the gloss, as well as some light fingerprints, which may clean off.

Batman: The Long Halloween #11, Roman Holiday. This comic, and series, was created by Tim Sale and Jeph Loeb.

VF, or better. The front cover shows a very mild edge bend near the top right corner, which shows a little bit of wear on the edges. There also some very light tracing indentations to the right of the Batman candle that don’t break ink. The back cover shows a few very light scratches/scuffs to the gloss, as well as a couple light fingerprints that may clean off.

Batman: The Ultimate Evil #1 and #2, limited series. These prestige format comics have cardstock covers, and the story concerns child sex tourism. There is an eight-page article about this problem in book two.

VF, or better. Both books show light roughening of the back covers near the bottom spine corner (especially the second book, which shows ink breakage). Issue #2 has a small bend crease at the bottom left corner that goes through the whole book. It very lightly breaks the ink on the back cover. Both books have light cosmetic scratches/scuffs on the back cover, as well as a few fingerprints that may clean off.

Batman: Two-Face Strikes Twice #1 and #2, limited series. Both comics are flip books, which translates to a 4-part story.

VF to VF/NM, or better. For issue #1, the front cover shows some light edge wear on the top and bottom.
For issue #2, there's light blunting of the spine corners that has caused wear and tear on the front cover near those corners. The bottom spine corner especially has a small piece of paper missing. The back cover shows very light creasing/ink-breakage of the spine binding.

Batman/Wildcat #1 to #3, limited series. This series introduces Ernie Chubb, and it features an appearance by Killer Croc.

VF+, or better. There is light blunting of the spine corners, as well as a few spine stress creases/ticks…with one or two that barely break the ink. There are also small, very light ink-breaking scratches on a couple issues, as well as a few pressable defects.

I will provide back cover scans on request.

Batman/Grendel #1 and #2, 1st limited series. Book 1 is Devil’s Riddle and Book 2 is Devil’s Masque.

VF, or better. Book #1 shows very light wear in spots along the spine on the back cover, as well as a mild scratch near the bottom spine corner. The back also shows a couple of 'dimples' near the center of the spine that don't appear to break ink. Both cover spine bindings show some very light ink breakage from being read. Book #2 shows about the same defects, minus the scratch on the back cover near the bottom spine corner, and the spine 'dimples'.

VF, or better. Issue #1 shows light blunting of the spine corners, especially the bottom one (drop damage). There is some very light wear in spots on and along the spine, both covers. The back cover on the upper right corner shows some light cosmetic scratches. Issue #2 also shows light blunting of the spine corners, with mild drop damage at the bottom corner. Both covers show a few spots of very light wear along the spine, but the spine bindings are in great condition.

Batman Versus Predator II: Bloodmatch #1 to #4, limited series. This series features an appearance by Huntress.

VF, or better. All four books show very light wear on the spine and light blunting of the spine corners, as well as a few spine stress creases/ticks that very lightly break the ink...at worst. The books show a mild bend of the lower right corner which doesn’t break the ink…except for issue #4 (back bottom page corner shows ink breakage).

I will provide back cover scans on request.

I was actually looking at my comic database today, and I realized I don't have much more of Batman-titled comics left. I have Batman: Shadow of the Bat, and some odds & ends (slabs) that I can list as well. So I'm going to continue this thread until all of those are listed. Then we'll see where I go from there.

Be back tomorrow...probably.

Now comes my collected Batman: Shadow of the Bat series. I have plenty of these as well, which I will break up into 'lots' because the run has a few gaps. This first sequential run is #1 to #15. I have a direct AND newsstand copy of issue #1, so either one of those will suffice for someone wanting the lot. Just specify which variant you'd like. I also have two copies of issue #14, but the second copy isn't included in the lot.

By the 15-issue run as a 'lot' for $35 shipped, with either version of issue #1. Or pay individual prices as listed.

Batman: Shadow of the Bat #1 (direct). Originally polybagged, this issue features the 1st appearance of Victor Zsasz. The listing includes the comic, 3-D Arkham Asylum pop-up, 2 full-color Brian Stelfreeze posters, an official blueprint of Arkham Asylum, a special edition bookmark, and the original polybag.

VF-, no better; off-white to white pages. This comic shows all the minor defects associated with being stored in a polybag for years, including spine creases, ink rubs, and indentations from the bag. This issue was never read and none of the goodies inside were opened up or expanded for pictures.

This next batch of sequential comics is Batman: SotB #19 to #34, including issue #0. There are multiple copies of issue #21 (no idea why). This small run of my collection includes issues that are part of the storylines KnightQuest and KnightsEnd, including the minor key, issue #29 (KnightsEnd, Part 2). There are also a couple of very minor 1st appearances.

With the exception of the two extra copies of issue #21, buy this lot of 17 comics for $40 shipped, or as individually priced.
