Well, there’s several different levels of shipping. 🤣

There’s the “we’re telling you it shipped but all we did is put it in a box”

then there’s the “we’ve shipped it, but the box is still here”

and then there’s the “ we’re telling you we shipped it last week, but we’re actually gonna ship it in 2 weeks when ups or fed ex does the pick up”

Usually, you’ll fall somewhere in the 3rd category 😄

ok good to know. its being shipped to my parents' condo (did just in case I moved before it shipped. better to pick up then to try and change address. they are 5-10 min walk from me. so wont be hard to get) and told them expect it possibly anywhere from a week to a month.

i am fine waiting the time. if I was waiting 14 months for it to be graded (even if I got impatient in last 2 months) I can wait another month for it to arrive

Usually when I get the 'ready for shipping' email, it ships out within a few hours for one book to a couple of days for a stack of books. I usually receive the books within a week after that. Also, as soon as the books ship out, you can see the grades on your dashboard.

good to know. its one comic. I am still new at grading so wanted to test the waters. know what to expect for future submissions. I knew it would take a while but every step.

now I know what to expect when it comes to my other 3 comics that are submitted or the likely 3 Ill submit in june

shipped. and you are right. saw grade. 9.0. Im fine with that. Its not for resell purposes. Im a power rangers nerd (mighty morphin power rangers #9 aka first lord drakkon appearance). they explained why grade was such.

spine stress front & back cover breaks color
small impact bottom right corner front cover goes through book

I probably wouldve noticed those before I submitted knowing what I know now (i joined this group after submitting)

I was hoping for 9.8 or so. maybe if I opted to get it pressed. But as I said. fine with grade. comic is special for me. according to the population report. I have the best grade for the variant (1 other was a 8.5 but was signed)

yeah why it was my first submission (well originally planned on secret wars #8 mmpr9 was the backup) but cost to verify grade was out of my budget. I collect all the old toys from the 90s (some of the modern versions if cheaper or didnt exist then) so plan on displaying the comic with my collection next to my pop figure of lord drakkon (comic is his first appearance)

I think Id been upset with grade if it was like a 7.0. 9.0 means i didnt take as good care of it as I had thought (bagged and board in a drawer vs a box) so damage couldve came from when I read it, putting it back into bag and board. looking through it to see the money shot page, back in bag and board) or when it was handled and delivered when I bought it (got it online when it first came out)

from now on. Plan on taking photos before I submit. to be safe. plan on doing 3 in june. I know one might be a 9.0 as well but keep photos of them. not saying cbcs mishandled but as a reminder

I have books where I'm pretty I was the one who reduced the grade through handling and improper storage, too. It's tough not to go back and read your faves! At least now we can maybe find reprints and read those instead.

have infinite crisis #3 and #5 which plan on grading. dont plan to ever remove from bag and board (havent since I bought last year) as plan on grading (#5 is already likely to be a around a 9.0 so dont want to worsten it)

Digital copies are great, and I really appreciate the trade paperbacks, but they can take up some space. Infinite Crisis #3 & #5 are great ones to submit, same for ASM #365. I'm thinking about submitting the rest of my TMNT. Now I just have to figure out where they all are...

That sounds like a plan! I have one more copy of Infinite Crisis #5, and I'll probably be sending it in with my next submission of newer books. It's the copy that I already know won't be a 9.8 so I didn't send it in for the Perez signing (RIP).

I got them for $20 at at a convention last year. $20 for the whole mini series set (was looking just for #3...couldnt find it. a seller said #5 is what I want. found seller selling the set for $25. he agreed to $20. #5 probably is a 9.0 as it has a crunch effect in a corner. but I feel still worth it.

I wouldve submitted them at the convention but had spent my submission budget already

$20 is a great deal for the series! Just the #3 and #5 alone are worth more.
