I don’t buy Cgc slabs and I’ve only used Cgc once only because Neal Adams used them and I had to.

CBCS slabs are the best all the way around and everyone has taken notice.

Only CGC has horrible grading I don’t trust any of the 9.8’s I see. Most of them are 9.6 or lower. CGC slabs are horrible.

I believe that people believe cgc sells for more than cbcs. I'm not entirely sure if I believe this is true, and certainly have no idea that if it is true, that it happens most of the time.

I think everyone has covered everything quite well, but I would like to add something I've noticed lately. I have always been brand specific but I finally gave up on that 6 months ago and started sending books to CGC with other people. I really wish a few of them were in CBCS cases but I made my decisions. The grades aren't far off my assessment but the graders notes for the CGC books I'm getting absolutely baffle me. They are recording things I didn't see and not recording the things I have written down. Also, "light Creasing" to cover seems to be a catch all. I'm not complaining because im still getting a grade over what I have them at but their notes are hilarious.

there are cases where cgc sell for more. modern books and books where someone needs it for the registry are the two main ones coming to mind

That cgc Registry has been one phenomenal boon for their business. CBCS would be wise to create their own. That said, there's nothing wrong with being second. Just ask Pepsi.

But is it the correct grade? In the land of the blind, the man with one eye is king.

In all fairness, I didn’t divulge the MCS grade. So yeah, you are spot on.

Personally, I will pay a premium for the CBCS graded book over the cgc graded one.

Bingo. When I bid on a cgc encased comic, i bid based on at least one grade level below what the cgc label shows.

i feel cbcs biggest issue is long wait. took them 14 months to finally get to my submission.

cgc has the prestige but has had a lot of mistakes (cbcs isnt perfect but not as much)

I prefer quality. if waiting well over a year to get a comic graded to get a quality graded comic.

I feel better to have slow perfection then a fast piece of crap

If you are grading for your PC, then maybe CBCS is for you.
It depends on what you are getting graded from what era.
Be prepared to wait awhile if you use CBCS.
