I never knew Jim or James Steranko worked on EERIE MAGAZINE19117

As I was going through some of my old horror magazines I ran across EERIE #25 and saw that JIM STERANKO did the cover and back then he went by JAMES. Are there any other comic books or horror magazines he worked on that I've missed?

That is a nice cover. Way different from his comic book covers.

Totally different atmosphere, and the muted colours and earth tones are not what I expect from Steranko. If he hadn't signed it, I wouldn't have known it was his art.

@Rafel - Very nice! Steranko has a few little known, oddball items out there. Several years ago I had him sign this small digest that he did both the story and art for from 1976. He said he hadn’t seen one in years.

Many great artists use wildly different techniques/styles, especially over time.

Picasso’s works when he was younger might surprise some only familiar with his abstract (cubism) pieces.

One of the most famous early X-men covers is Issue 50, first cover appearance of Polaris.
