Car and watch enthusiast worlds collided yesterday in an auction. Some of Paul Newman’s Rolexes were auctioned off. Seven figures.

At least they were nice pieces.

Then there is this new release with another direct tie with racing. Looks really nice!

Not as cool as other stuff here, but my wife bought a killing machine on Amazon. We put it outside initially and it was like a grotesque insect slaughterhouse. Insects coming from land and air to "follow the light", as they say. Constant crackling for hours with hundreds of bugs and gnats zapped and sprayed in a 4-foot radius. Too horrible to continue using. So we moved it inside to get the occasional fly in the kitchen area. I cheer from my office when I hear the zap of a pesky little bastard going to meet their friends.

I imagine the mosquitoes cheering as this glowing magical device lures and then kills their enemies.

Mosquito leader: “The gods DO favor us indeed! Bite freely, my friends!”

* I did once purchase one from Costco that purported to attract mosquitoes. Still lots of collateral damage.

@Davethebrave - Your post made me think about this scene from an old Sci-Fi movie (that was also a short-lived comic book series).

I have the very same one, and it's the best ever. It kills and attracts every flying insect in the house. I can't go outside without those tiny mosquitos attacking me, but this zapper kills them all when they sneak into the house as you come in or exit. I owned another one that was nowhere near as good. I love this one.

@sportshort When I hear the ZAP, I clap and giggle like a 5-year-old girl in the candy aisle.

I'm doing 2 panels at Capital City Comic Con in Lansing, Mi next weekend if anyone is going to be there. Broadening Our Comic Horizons is a brand new one with a focus on the foreign comic market and Why Collect Foreign Comics is the panel I did at MC3 last month. Both will be recorded and on my YouTube afterwards, hope to see some of you there!

Just curious... what do you consider your most prized item in your collection? Not necessarily the most expensive but just the one that you cherish the most.

This is one of the coolest comic book related things I've ever seen!!! I love things that tell a story just by looking at it!!! Thanks for sharing!!! One of my favorite pieces in my collection is actually a remainder comic that a drug store took the whole cover off and added their cover to give away to sick kids. I got it from a good friend of mine. I keep an ebay search going for more comics like it, but I've yet to find any.
