Got back last night from a 5 day vacation in Key West for the wife’s 50th, and our 20 year anniversary. First time there, and it’s definitely the craziest place I’ve ever been. This fort was the highlight for me

@GAC, Thank you sir. Seriously the craziest place ever. Here’s a cock on a car, and Batman & Batgirl. And yes… they were drunk

unknown to me my wife has been lending some of my choose your own adventure books out!
As you can see I've kept them in decent shape all these decades - and this was commented on by her co-worker - who's child returned them in appropriate good state!!

What I love is - the adventure book with computer programs in it!!!
I still have my C64 - maybe someday I'll get it up and running and run these programs again!! (can't remember from waaaaayyyy back!)

I don't see a point in starting a thread for this, especially if there aren't many who can contribute, so I'll post them here.

Several years back I purchased a small, cheap 23-book stack of MARVEL "returns," purely for their reading value (I already had the Daniel Boone).
I still look at them and imagine "what if?" the missing sections were still there and in the same condition as what remains.

Amazing adventures 9, 10, 13
Astonishing Tales 11
Captain America 143, 144, 166
Daredevil 82
Legend of Daniel Boone 4
Marvel Premiere 3
Marvel Spotlight 4
Marvel's Greatest Comics 32
Sub-Mariner 43, 44
The Amazing Spider-Man 104, 105,
Fantastic Four 108, 111, 113, 115
Hulk 144, 145, 147
X-Men 73

My frivolous purchase of the week (month?)

Ice storm a while back had me doing more cutting, hacking and chopping while dealing with clean-up. Added a new (modern) utility hatchet to the tool kit but also needlessly added something a bit more traditional:

I was amazed at how all the trees broke during that storm. Just kinda sheered off the top. There's all kinds of broken off branches hanging high waiting to fall weeks later.

The cream-to-off white pages on the AF15 are a deal killer for me. I'll just have to keep searching.

played so much Dragons lair in highschool with my friends that we could see the start of the next segment and work out if it's normal or reverse, then blindfolded we'd complete the section without getting killed. Played way too much to be able to do that.
