![]() Front to back in bags and boards in long boxes. May go front to front in the future to maximize space. |

Learn from my mistakes with this cautionary tale. Legal size file cabinets, while definitely being able to hold two rows of comics in each drawer, are not a great solution for someone living in an apartment. I bought a four drawer file cabinet with the purpose to store books and while full, it must weight at least 800 pounds. It works, but if you ever look into a file cabinet as an option, maybe stick with two drawer. |

I've stored front to back since I switched everything over to mylars and fullbacks with the exception of the first book in the box which goes front to front. Light purposes through the hand hold, right? When I used polys, I did the front-to-front method and found it was nice and kept most everything straight. I also found that after getting rid of long boxes, it was easier to keep the books upright in short boxes as well as less strain on the middle of the box if I had to move the long bastards around. |

Quote:Originally Posted by Rush_is_a_band This is how I store my comics. Lucky for me, my cabinets are in my "Bat-mancave" in the basement on a solid concrete floor. MY cautionary tale is that if you pack the books too tight, the top edges of the books will catch the drawer frame when pulling the drawer out and damage the books. Better to leave a little wiggle room so the books lean back so they can "duck" under the cabinet drawer frame opening |

@MurrayC how do you keep them from sliding sideways into each other? Or sloshing around the box if it isn't full? | ||
