Low grade are just fine, as others have already pointed out, it’s the most affordable way to have some of these books.

Those are BOSS! The one signed by Otto Binder is very cool.

This is one of my low grade books. Some kids were reading this back in 1940 while WW2 was going on and Batman was a new character!

Sweet books. And Capt Marvel was rivaling Superman in popularity back then too. Reportedly outselling Superman comics too!

@CWill2021
That Detective is so nice, and the cover presents really well for the grade.

Speaking of low grade golden age books, I am popping this puppy into the upcoming mycomicshop auction starting at one dollar, tomorrow on Jan 30th...

Besides this FAIR 1.0 copy, the only other copy listed for sale on eBay in months is a raw seller graded VG+ at $500 BIN + shipping with no “Best Offer” option.

Battlefront # 15

CLASSIC RUSS HEATH STRANGULATION COVER

$500 BIN + $7.95 shipping mid grade copy on eBay, from a high feedback eBay dealer and a CGC boardie:

Love low grade books, usually they end up being cheap books. Especially with restoration on top to make em cheaper.

Flas 105 $80 Aus so about $50us with a economy grade makes for a cheap book.

Then there are others.

Showcase 34 was $120us
Flash 109 $10
Tip Top $20
Superman $80
And the big one Detective $500us which I thought was a bargain for a very rare pre Batman DC.
Love these for the price like I love the VGs all the way up to the books in vf to nm

Those are such great books! I have several crunchy key books (my Showcase #22 is very Very VERY crunchy) that I could only afford because of the condition they're in.

I'm not a huge Hulk guy, so I would be happy with the 1.0 and a number of picks of pile 4. The number of picks would be contingent on what's there. If there is a copy of Avengers 4, I'd probably give him both Hulks in exchange.

@Jesse_O Have you ever considered a career as a mediator or arbitrator? The United Nations could absolutely use your negotiation skills. 🍻

Exactly why I like them.
They are cheap and a great way to own keys or early issues.
