@martymann That's a right purty yeller book thar, Marty!

Along with AW #19, MM #2 stands as the yellowist cover in my collection, ...

...but I doubt either book presents stronger yellows & reds than that Western Comics cover.

@CatmanAmerica Always thought this was a strong red and yellow
cover.

Plus this issue also contains Basil Wolverton's depiction of "LENA THE
HYENA".

This book strikes me as having strong yellow color, at least in the background. Anyway, it's a HIT any way you look at it...

@earthshaker01 Animal Crackers is definitely an oddball title. First published in 1946 without an identified publisher, the cover was reused in the late 50's with two or different publisher indicia, Green and Norlon, each carrying different content. I suspect the title slipped under the radar of the CCA because the funny animal content was obviously inoffensive. There is at least one more issue with a different cover by the same artist, similar funny animal content and odd numbering. Others may be able to provide more details on this unusual title, but this is what I've found.

Phantom Lady #13, the first issue of it's brief, legendary run for Fox...

For those interested in the minutiae, the cover art is attributed to Matt Baker, the book itself is older label CGC, graded 9.0 with OFf White page quality and Davis Crippen "D" pedigree.

If it's old CGC label. It could likely be pushed to a 9.4 or higher with a pressing. Since most old label books were encapsulated well before pressing was a standard like today. My best result was an 8.5 to a 9.6. Took me an hour. Obviously huge increase in appearance and value, we'll worth an hour of my time. Something to think about.

This is the only comic I own from a pedigree collection. I'd say it's a lower grade pedigree. I bought it not knowing it was a pedigree.

Apologies for posting this again so soon, but my iPad shot just did not do it justice. Using my home scanner provides an image with all the intricate detail of Jack Binder's cover art (if you compare this with the earlier image you'll see what I'm talking about)...

#11(#1) & #12(#2) just need to find a high grade #13(#3) to complete series. If there is one.

Impulse buy, December of 1953, reprints a couple of Rulah stories from 46 I think with one new story as a lead.

Congratulations! There are a Lot of Golden Age 3 to 4 issue series runs that are harder to put together than runs that lasted much longer.
