I grew up loving the Isis/Shazam hour. Enjoy the kid power super hour with Shazam also. Captain Marvel was my favorite because he was a kid just like me who could be a superhero. Nothing better! Not a big fan of the new Shazam though. Hate the cape and the hood and most of the costume now. The original was one of the best costumes of all time I believe. Looking forward to the movie though. I have come to a conclusion that Captain Marvel and Shazam are two different characters in different universes.

Very rare Two volume slipcase edition from the late 80's of Captain America #1-10. It was pulled immediately after release for obscene touch-ups to Cap & Bucky that weren't discovered until this edition went to press.
...Big ooops!

This GA classic has been begging to be reposted here. Sub-Mariner #6 sports a very strong Alex Schomburg cover supported by Bill Everett interiors and a 20 page Angel story. What's not to like?

Here's another highly recommended book on GA movers and shakers. This is the HC edition and both front and back dustjacket flaps deserve attention. Really cool book...

Saturday Mornings then were everything!! With you on the tweaks to the costume: Awful! Second only to the trunkless Superman costume.

How about a extremely high grade Zorro (#1) four color #228 file copy. Headed in for grading soon with. It's Yellow and it might be the first "foil" cover. Get it? Foil, they each have a foil in hand.

Remember I posted this 1939 file copy from 1939. Apparently it may be the only known copy around. Guy offered me 2k for it. Turns out it was thought to be in black and white only, but this is color and might be the first representation of the new donald with much shorter neck.

for those who are uncomfortable around water or unmoved by Subby's ease at commanding it, let's move inland with a little Military action...

While I make a point of editing off labels, there was no easy way of doing it with this image. Besides, ...two 9.4 copies have to be seen to be believed!

@martymann That's a right purty yeller book thar, Marty!

Along with AW #19, MM #2 stands as the yellowist cover in my collection, ...

...but I doubt either book presents stronger yellows & reds than that Western Comics cover.
