In anticipation of selling my while collection soon, I've been sorting lots of boxes I haven't looked in for a long time, maybe 20 years. Found this nice Don Winslow of the Navy #51 (1947). Male bondage cover.

Check this out. Going through a box and I find 3 nice copies of Four Color #241 (1949). They should be really nice when I clean and press them this week.
Anyhow, I notice one looks different color-wise. Looked faded. After, closer examination, I noticed the faded one said Canadian edition top right.
Facebook guru's informed me Dell was not allowed ship their books to Canada so, a company named Wilson got the plates and printed them in Canada, often on inferior paper and color shades were often lesser in quality or not the exact color scheme. They said it was extremely rare copy and no.one if Dell.froups had seen one before.
CGC has never even graded ann American copy of this particular four color, which is odd, let alone the Canadian version. Thought it was cool story.

Seriously, a black cover without a blemish. I think it's perfect.

Started using photoscan to get rid of glare. Still needs work as the color washout ruins the solid yellow/blue/purple and overall vibrancy. Also some image distortion. Will use my scanner in the future and compare. May just require some practice.

Few GA classics that I’ve scanned so far:

I just love the early Kings. Some of the earliest CBs issued in the modern format, and filled with outstanding content (Sunday newspaper strips).
