One of the things I like about this comic is that there were very few Golden Age covers in which a superhero was speaking directly to the viewer. Makes an unusual impact (at least with me).

The first Albert and Pogo, both of whom looked quite different than in later years. Pogo is NOT on the cover of Animal Comics #1.




Then the first Albert and Pogo cover.




My entire Pogo set should get into the queue sometime next year.
