I should know by now to NOT visit the LCS too often. I was in there a few months ago, looking to find something, and spotted this book displayed on the wall. Probably would never have bid on this book had I found it on the internet, but I guess it was irresistible close up. The other oddity is I have been collecting comics for just over 20 years, and never had a S.A. or G.A. issue of Adventure comics before.

Awesome book and awesome cover.

I wish I can find a cover for this book, but I have a feeling I'll be better off just buying a complete copy.

Now that's what I call a #1 issue. And that calls for a round to celebrate.

From my own collection, I got a bunch that need grading.

I acquired this copy of Mystic #46 at an LCS about 2 years ago. In this case the book I found is quite a bit better than what I have seen on Ebay, plus I was able to negotiate the price with the shop owner. I'm finding it tough to set hard and fast rules in the slippery slope at the LCS.

That’s a real carrot top doing the deal with Bwana.
Looks like their getting ready to boil up
Some chic soup
I wonder if he is selling or buying. Lol

I love the Golden age books. I really don’t like looking at them though because then I look at what’s for sale and before I know it one shows up at my front door. Lol. 🖖
