The greenish mass in the background of Lou Fine's cover for HIT Comics #9 looks convincingly like a huge floating iceberg in the North Atlantic...

Yes finally. Getting some movements on my orders. Should have some freshly graded stuff by end of next week or so. Random GA crap again. Hoping for some to have 9.0 grades or above. Fingers crossed.

Here is a couple high grade promos you don't see too often in any grade. 1954 U.S. Treasury give away "Foxhole on you Frontlawn" and 1951 "Santa's Secrets."

I love these Buster Brown comics!!! I once thought of trying to collect them all, but at that time, the task seemed daunting to me. Now, not so much. I have to look at them again. I may pursue them next year.

M'thinks this thread could use a little more Schomburg mayhem to tide us over until the Yule tide rushes in, so in that spirit here are three great covers composed by Alex, each from different publishers...

I give this book my personal checkmark. It was sold to me as VF/NM. The book presents quite well. Not to mention Tiger Man!!

Here is a classic Rudy Palais cover. An early Rob Liefeld, he never seemed to get his people anatomically correct but it worked.

Tough to find any information on Mr. Palais. This terse article sure wet my appetite though. https://www.newsfromme.com/2004/07/21/rudy-palais-r-i-p/

Earthshaker, I didn’t even know there was a golden age of comics thread. Must have been started before I joined the forum judging by the number of pages. Thanks so much for pointing it out!
