WEEKLY COVER CONTEST #330--DON'T CALL IT A COLLECTION!18915

Masculinity takes a holiday. EbayMafia private msg quote post Address this user
The Rules: (Pay Attention – This is Important)

You vote three check marks for your FIRST favorite, Two check marks for the SECOND favorite, One check mark for the THIRD favorite. You do not need to vote for three covers, but it is strongly encouraged!!! However... DO NOT VOTE EARLY!!! (Read on!)

Let's have fun with this!!!

A new theme will be chosen each week, so participants must find a comic book that fits the theme.

- One entry per person.
- Must be real comic books in circulation.
- Magazine size books are also okay.
- The book does not have to be in your collection.
- Variants are acceptable.
- The previous winner is allowed to win in this contest.

Each week we will vote on who had the best cover.

- Friday begins the new contest.
- Voting begins Wednesday at 12 noon EST which is the cutoff for submissions.
- Voting ends Thursday at 11:59 PM EST.
- Please vote through the built-in "three check marks" system described above.
- Don't vote early!
- The winner will be the cover with the most check marks.
- Vote three check marks for a favorite, two for the second favorite and one for the third favorite.

The winner will choose the next theme and begin a new thread.

In the event of a tie, the deciding factor will be if the entry was of a book in a CBCS slab (only one book in the set needs to be graded; if multiple are CBCS graded then the highest grade applies). If both books are in a CBCS slab (or neither are) then the cover with the most three star votes wins. If they are still tied, then the one with the most 2 star votes wins. If the tie remains, then a sudden death contest will decide the winner. All tied contestants are to enter a new cover based upon the theme of that contest. At 9 pm EST, Friday, the cover with the most votes wins.

Re-post these rules in your new thread to keep them easy to find and for new folks who want to play.

The list of previous contests and winners can be found in a pinned thread on the top of the forum.

**Please No Early Voting**

This week: THE PARK AVENUE PEDIGREE

For the final winner of 2022 let's crown a champion from the Park Avenue (should be) Pedigree. Forum favorite @Martymann, when he was just a wee lad with a dime in his pocket, had his imagination captured by each of these covers, one at a time. He had the wherewithal to keep and preserve them throughout moves and military service. And now he shares them with us through a technology almost unimaginable at the time. Use the link below to enjoy the collection again and choose a contender for the crown, once and for all, Best Cover of Park Avenue Pedigree.

This is most certainly going to be a very tough WCC voting round,.. if not the toughest.

I think it will be interesting, and exciting, to see which cover wins this contest.

Yep! I agree with you 100%

It's so cool that Marty loves the comics so much that he takes the time to spread his happiness with all of us here! We are very lucky!

I love the history of everyone in our hobby, makes it so much fun to learn about our past, even if it was only even five years ago!

BTW....This might be my favorite contest on the forum yet!

@martymann That's what I thought. And is the best thing about showing books in forums such as these that collectors get ideas for their next aquisitions. 👍
