Marvel Comic Recommendations for 8-11 year kids18814

| Hi, everyone. My wife and I are sponsoring a few underprivileged kids this year for Christmas. One of the boys is between 8 and 11 years old and his wish list states that he would like Marvel comic books. I have tons of older books that I can give but my wife suggested that we give him newer, more recent books too. I'll probably give him a mix. I seldom read new comics and, when I do, it's usually DC. So I thought I'd reach out to the forum for recommendations for Marvel Comics, released over the last couple of years, that are 1) suitable for kids age 8 to 11 and 2) a good/great story with good/great artwork. Stories collected into a TPB would be ideal since that would allow me to get the entire story at once. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone. |

| For most "new comers" to comic books they can't afford older MARVEL's, so what I've always enjoyed are the MARVEL MASTERPIECES. They run from about $30.00 and up, are reprints of about 4-10 comic books in a series of the old classics, great stories, great art work, with nothing bad or WOKE in them. Plus, he'll learn a little history too. | ||

I think a good place would be the comic series based on the early 90s comic shows like Spider-Man Adventures, X-Men Adventures and its modern follow-up X-Men ‘92. The shows did a great job of consolidating and adapting a lot of major stories and characters from the comics. Hopefully the comics kept that going   |

@DWeeB1967 Not sure the title of the story line, but this is a recent released book that is about spider-man vs. his clone, now known as Chasm. I picked up a copy for myself. Spidey vs. Spidey. Can't go wrong there. |

I read this entire series to my daughter and she LOVED it! I had a fun time reading it to her as well! Great intro to Marvel Comics for girls! |

Going from a kid’s perspective, my boy (10 yo) likes Avengers: Tech-On, because he likes all the mechs and their cool powers. For non-Marvel and non-DC, he likes LEGO NINJAGO: Garmadon, because of the toy tie-in and it features a lot of his favorite characters.  |

Aren't most titles at Marvel written by people who behave like children? I kid, but not really  They might be published under license from Marvel but IDW was doing the Star Wars Adventures series that was aimed at younger readers. |
