Fee for Grade Screen Rejection Threshold Change18762

I just noticed the threshold for pricing of $4/book on the invoice for grade screen reject books was decreased from 50% and above to 30% or more. Just a heads up.

I thought something had changed. I did a pre-screen on 12 books and 8 passed. I was charged $16 for the rejects when I thought there'd no charge. Thanks for confirming.

Not sure that is consistent.
I almost always submit 30 books at a time.
Sometimes, if I have 3 or more that get rejected, there is the fee. Sometimes the fee is only for 3 of the rejected books and the others have no fee.
My most recent 30 book submission only had 2 rejected. No fee because less than 10% rejection. Yay!
Best way to have lower or no rejected book fees, is get better at grading so no books get rejected, or screen at one grade lower than you think you might get.
Either way, I would rather pay 4.00 than have a book come back 3 or 4 grades lower than what I want it to be.

Hey @gecon welcome to the forum over there.....

I just received my invoice for my latest batch of 30 comics. I received a reject fee of $4 per book for the 2 books that did not screen at 9.8 - I don't think I have seen a fee before, but if 10% is the rule, why am I being charged for less than 7% (2/30) being rejected?

On top of that, originally, I was told there was no reject fee at all.

Thanks!

Looks like they changed it again. Now it says ANY book that doesn't meet the grade screen threshold is charged $8.

With my last order I had to contact them to have my fees reversed to what the policy was when I submitted.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm glad I was able to take advantage of the service in the past for a lot of lower value books. At this price, grade screening doesn't make sense for the books I typically send in.

isn't that what the other company charges? so now that it's the same across the board, it comes down to personal preference, AND if you're keeping for personal collection or selling. One of the companies usually sells for a bit higher.. gotta keep that in mind for the future!!!

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I liked using raw grade as a hedge for books that fail grade screen, but I think they got rid of raw grade.

I just got charged $4 for 1/13 books that were rejected from an order submitted 2/2022.

This has been a consistent pattern of being overcharged on CBCS invoices, from shipping amounts being increased after submitting an order to grade screen charge amount switches- I'm over it.

Oh, and they charged me $16 for raw graded books that were supposed to be $10.

Yikes. It used to be $5/book, but I just confirmed that you're right.
