I obtained a graded copy of Avengers Annual #10 that I plan to crack open from the slab (9.6). I plan to get Michael Golden signed/witnessed. I also plan to get others to sign it - Chris Claremont, Al Milgrom……… And finally Armando Gil. Yup…. That’s when my heart sank. Armando Gil…. I only got into collecting comics a few years ago. I know nothing, but I’m learning. The Who’s, the what’s, the talent… honestly every one of you have forgotten more than I currently know. I’ll be getting Golden witnessed In January. The witness is also well known facilitator, so I plan to ask them to facilitate a Claremont signing, Milgrom, and Gil. I started researching where the next cons for these guys will be. Then I find out, Armando Gil is in prison, for rape, of his 12 and 13 year old nieces. He plead guilty. Like …. WHAT did I just learn?! (That knot in the stomach feeling) Here’s the full case., with appeals. https://www.morelaw.com/verdicts/case.asp?n=%202018-L-077%20&s=OH&d=126898 20 years in prison via plea bargain. Needless to say I’ll stick to getting the other autographs. Am I the only one to not know this happened? Just horrible. |

Wow I didn't know that. But I am expecting my Avengers Annual #10 from CBCS any time now. It's definitely not going to be a 9.6 but it is signed by Michael Golden, Al Milgrom and Jim Shooter. Golden is a really nice guy and I enjoy talking with him but he is charging $50 to sign anything with Rogue in it.

@Zombie_Head nice book! Im curious why Rubenstein? Is it because of his affiliation to Marvel? @Wyldchyld same question - why Shooter? Is it the same, his affiliation to Marvel? |

Michael Golden & Al Milgrom on mine. BTW, this isn't a current photo. I've had it signed by Golden since.![]() Armando Gil does NOT get to sign this book, even if he weren't unavailable. Gross... |

@Zombie_Head thank you! did not know that. So I'll add Rubenstein, Shooter and Claremont to the list for this book. @Byrdibyrd Nice. And yes I agree. Gil is off limits for me forever. |

Shooter was the best thing that ever happened to Marvel. Probably one of the few signatures I would go for, personally.

I got Shooter’s sig on this book a few years back. Michael Golden is around more often than not. You’ll run into him eventually. Remember “Patience is a virue”.

@JustThatGuy yes - i live in ft lauderdale and Golden and Rubenstein will be at ft lauderdale con Jan 15. Looking forward to it. Also got two full commissions on order with Rubenstein for pick up then as well. one stop comic shop will be there to witness, facilitate, and send off for grading too. http://www.ftlauderdalecon.com/ This comic book is rather busy - as far as covers go. Going to be interesting to see where they put their autogrpahs. |

@multi007 if you do see Golden, then I highly recommend you be aware of “The Witch”. Hide your cash, hide your excitement on getting anything from Golden. She can smell it. Don’t look directly into her eyes.

Here’s my take on the comments by @JustThatGuy. I also want to say I could be totally wrong. I have noticed that at many of the signings at conventions, the artist is frequently paired with an agent, manager, or spouse. For example, Neal Adams’ wife collected the money at his signings. She appeared to be only interested in the money, and didn’t even look at the books you were asking to be signed. Howard Chaykin was accompanied by a redheaded woman. So while there are still lots of artists and creators who love to talk and interact with their fans (like Jim Steranko), there are others who are told by another person to keep the line moving, or why don’t you purchase this item for $200 and he’ll sign it for free. Again, just my take from what I have witnessed at cons. |

@Bronte non taken. I had really bad experience with them. Multiple times. Had a good talk with Mark Texiera about the interaction and he pretty much talked about his time with them. @Multi. Just be careful around them. @esaravo I can handle people like the redhead you spoke of, but Golden’s handler is on a different level. |

@esaravo this makes me appreciate @JustThatGuy's comment even more. I'm sure @multi007 will try not to start laughing as soon as he gets sight of her. I figured this was the case once I googled Michael Golden and it suggested other people to search for including a witch-like female. |

I think the person that is being referred to as the "witch" is Renee Witterstaetter. She manages Golden as well as several other people in the industry.

I apologize to all the people on here reading my sh***y comments and wasn't trying to be an ahole. I didn't mean to dampen the spirit of what multi007 wants to do. I'm pretty sure the experience will be different for different folks. Golden is a fine person as long as he is by himself. Do get Shooter's sig, though. He is an upstanding person to meet.
