Have I told you about the time I dropped off 3,000 comics at SDCC? Scifinator private msg quote post Address this user
@Forbush yes not even seeing it on dashboard is absolutely disconcerting and the most frustrating for that period of time. As mentioned, i was there also with part of my sdcc dropoff until last week. While i donโ€™t doubt they have your comics, seeing it as at least submitted if not processing sure does ease the mind.

@enaz13. If you are seeing โ€œProcessingโ€ on your dashboard, you are golden. The last order I received was Processing from Mid to late June till it was shipped out last week.

@Darryl_H @Steve_Ricketts Hi, can I get confirmation that my Canadian Order: 19-30981D8 made it to Pressing in Florida please? It's an August submission and its now in Labels which seems too fast.

I sent the submission to Steve Paulus in Oakville back in August requesting Pressing which he confirmed was happening. I've emailed him a couple of times recently but I think he's out of the office. I'm just trying to confirm that 2 of my books on this order were actually Pressed.

Thanks!!

@GAC - Damn, that would be a heck of a fast pass and nice jump over june and july submissions. Go Leafs Go!

@GAC was the order only 2 books or were there only 2 for pressing? if more than 2 books but only 2 for pressing then the pressing books would be separated onto their own order.

Alternatively....did they have press screening? if it was determined that they did not need a press maybe they would have moved through quicker?

@Scifinator yeah...does not bode well.

@KatKomics 3 books total..one was VSP. No Press screening so I'm having doubts they got pressed.

This is the submission I created then sent to Oakville.

This is what they created when they received my books.

So how does this work now??

I had press screening on 3 of the 11 books I sent in and it looks like all 3 did need a press (all the others definitely needed a press!) so now I owe an additional $36.

Will CBCS just charge my card on file or do I need to call in and make a payment or what??

@KatKomics yes, 3 additional press x $12 = $36 of additional charge on to of the $5 press screen. And yes, if your CC is on file, they will automatically charge that card.

Thanks!!

Funny...I didn't think they needed a press and only added the press screen to keep all my books on one order to avoid having to pay postage on 2!

If I did the math right I think I can add press screen on up to about 5 books and still be further ahead on the shipping front with I guess the added benefit of if they did need a press getting back nicer books!!

Ouch!!! actually June 7-9th convention but showed on dash as July 5th!!
1st time submitting through the CBCS Canada stream. I'm assuming to keep things economical they send books in bulk so maybe once a month instead of after each show??

It's pressing that kills you - I had an order in Feb that was back in 6 weeks - 9.8's with no pressing.

These books all needed pressing and man does it hurt!

Getting next order together only CBCS doesn't appear to be going to any of the smaller conventions before the end of the year - might have to hand deliver?

Wow that's some delay but perhaps it was just a delay for the dashboard to be updated ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I'm with VSP as well and still in processing since 21st June and feels like I'm looking at the dashboard every 2 minutes ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Pressing definitely adds a few more grey hairs than I've already got ๐Ÿ˜Š

If my screened pressing candidate moved to "Grading" status without me getting charged for pressing, can I assume it did not get pressed?

This was my first time with press screening but I would say that if they moved on and were not charged then they must have determined that a press would not have bumped the grade any.

@noahjdorsey Depends on the timing. I had an order move through grading so quickly compared to the system updating that I was not charged for pressing until about when it shipped.

@gac Congrats to you that is good news .....but, would suggest that your books jumped ahead of late June, July submissions, and my late July SDCC submission. But, good news nonetheless.

@gac ahhh, that would suggest to me that your books are in FL and are perhaps ready to be shipped to Dallas as I think they are still in 2-5 week TAT for grading.

dropping books off at cons, are the books that require pressing go directly to Florida or do they all go to Texas, then off to Florida

@batman66 comics go to TX first and are then forwarded to FL and after press back to TX.
